I moved to Pennsylvania 10 years ago, and the very first person I met here was Meg. She befriended me immediately, and I’ll always be grateful for that. While I’m sad she’s no longer there, the Happy Hour Tavern continues to be an incredible place because of the people who work there.
The bartenders are truly amazing. Brooke is one of a kind—hilarious, unapologetically herself, and genuinely kind. You can tell she truly cares about the customers, which is so rare and so special. James is right up there with her. He recently made me a holiday martini that was, without question, the best martini I’ve ever had. Lynette always has a smile on her face and is also as genuine as it gets. Chris (Craft) is probably one of the funniest people I have ever met and is always on top of drinks as is everyone else. Such great people working there. Who needs a therapist when you have these people?
The food is always incredible, and the clientele feels more like family than just a crowd at a bar. This was the very first bar I ever went to when I moved here, and it still is—and always will be—my favorite place.

James is the gold standard. Friendly without being fake, attentive without hovering, and always ready with a great recommendation. He somehow manages to make everyone feel like their night matters. Protect James at all costs.
If you want it even sharper or a little more sarcastic, tell me your vibe and I’ll dial it up.

I had a great time here. I don’t go out much but one of the servers allowed my child to use the bathroom the day before even though we weren’t customers and I thought that was very nice. Looked like a good crowd so I went back the next day for happy hour. I was the only black person but I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. Everyone was friendly. Drinks were good. Food was good. I enjoyed the music. Loved the bartenders, especially woody, he’s a cutie and good time.:) Anyway, I’ll be back again.

First time here for a glass blowing event. Wings are okay, needed a little more sauce, so I’ll ask for more sauce next time. This place is nicer than I thought. I have lived in the area for 58 years and have never been here. I would go back and I would invite friends for a drink and a bite to eat. Only three stars for first-time experience, but I will update when I go again.

Old time bar feel, friendly staff, great food specials, live music. Had a great time watching AJ Slick do classic rock tunes all night.

My first time here and what a pleasant experience it was. Good brews on tap, excellent cheese steaks and tasty fries. Typical bar grub, but worth the wait. Newly resurfaced pool table and also shuffleboard on hand. Karaoke on Sunday nights. Friendly staff. Worth a visit.

Went there yesterday. I really liked being there. It was my first time. They had the door open, the sun coming in wind blowing. It was really nice. I had the chicken tenders it was 3 pieces for $7.50 but they were HUGE like cutlet sizes. Really really worth it. Everything was all chill until this one male worker came in. I was relaxing comfortably and he grabs my food and says “you done with this?” I said “no I still have a piece left” he says “you’re gonna eat that?!” I said “yeah!” It made me so uncomfortable. Like I was being rushed. I wasn’t bothering anyone, wasn’t talking to anyone, I came in by myself. When my Lyft came to take me home I waved and said bye to the woman bartender. I wish I caught her name cause she was sweet. But as I walked out I heard the male worker say “yeah get outta here” I don’t know what his problem is. I was there for a couple hours just relaxing drinking some beer. When he came in I was there for maybe 20 minutes left. He was so obnoxious I probably would have stayed longer but he changed the atmosphere. He needs to lower his ego.
