My girlfriend and I went here for breakfast. I wasn’t really going to review the experience because I just didn’t want to be negative. I did try to find some other way of contacting the place. Here is what we experienced. The young man who sat us was very nice. He brought us a pot of coffee to the table and things were going really well. The food came very quickly. All was good. Then, without warning a new person entered the mix. It was a waitress who may have just come in or was working another part of the restaurant. Anyhow, she came to our table with her Buffalo Bills shirt and without a word took the half full pot of coffee. Before we could say anything, she was gone and filling other diner’s cups with the pot. She never did return the pot to our table and that was the last coffee we drank at the good old American Grill. As we were talking about it my girlfriend said, What if we had spit in the pot or even dropped something into it? Not that we would have done that, but she didn’t know us. As I said, I did not want to leave this review and I plan to take it down shortly, but I did want to make it known to the owner.

We come here 2-3x a week. Cheesesteak was very good. We’ve had many dishes here and everything is consistently excellent. Prime rib, Turkey w/stuffing, sautéed items, soups, pork chops, French toast… Always delicious, prices are fair and staff is attentive. Owners work extremely hard to keep everyone happy.

We’ve been coming here a few years. When they closed because they couldn’t get a cook for dinner, we still came for breakfast. The waitresses in the morning are awesome. Last month they were able to open for dinner again. The food is great, same as it was before they closed. The evening waitresses are great too. Food comes out hot and always fresh.
We would highly recommend this restaurant.

First time here and what a nice, inviting, and cozy place. Kristen was our server and she was outstanding..so nice and personable. They have a huge menu. They serve the whole menu all day. The portions of foods are big and the price is very reasonable. Will be returning when in the area.

Stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with this local treasure. My server, Kristen, was courteous, attentive and has the perfect hospitality personality. I ordered the smothered burger which came with a cup of soup and fries. The soup choices of the day were chicken noodle, vegetable and lobster bisque. I opted for the bisque. It was hot, thick, creamy and perfectly seasoned. The burger was 6 ounces of beef topped with onions, green peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. It was fabulous. One of the attractions of this diner is breakfast served all day. On my afternoon visit I noticed several customers ordering breakfast. The menu is extensive so my next visit will be a tough selection process.

Great diner. Food was good. Service was very friendly. Ketchup bottles were clean. It’s only a seven mile bike ride from home, will definitely return!

The Laurys Station American Grill is a very welcomed addition to the community since the last diner closed a few years back. My wife and I went for dinner last night, there was a lot of confusion amongst the staff. We were promptly seated and given drinks, but then sat and waited over 25 minutes for someone to take our order. I got the brisket burger which was ok, few crispy onions but a good amount of cheese. Unfortunately, it was very reminiscent of a frozen patty cooked on a griddle. My wife got the four piece fried chicken, there wasn’t a lot of meat on the bones and it was fried very hard. Fries were ok, also tasted like frozen boring fries. I look forward to trying the grill for breakfast which is only served from 6:30-11am. I understand growing pains of a new restaurant and we will probably be back to try it again someday.
Update April 2022: Their hours are now 11am-8pm and closed Monday’s. So much for trying them out for breakfast!

Have been waiting for a while to try this place since they opened. The early reviews weren’t favorable, and the prices seemed a bit more expensive than what I am used to paying at a “diner”. I was hoping the reviews would get better, and saw a couple of positive e, but still wasn’t sold. Only thing I was able to notice was the lack of recent business at the diner. The first couple of weeks seemed busy at lunch and dinner time, but the last week and a half or two the place seems dead. They originally had breakfast scheduled, but that ended very soon. As for breakfast, I think they should start with weekends only…IF they can get the prices to a reasonable level (Ed Petruccelli mentioned a $50 breakfast tab for 2 adults and 2 6-year olds in his Google review)! Shorty thereafter, breakfast was canceled completely. Had a friend in from out of town and decided we would give the new place a go. Picked him up at his hotel near the airport and drove up to Laurys Station, only to find the restaurant closed with a sign on the door that read; “We are closed due to lack of staff. Sorry for any inconvenience.” Then I decided to grab some beer at the distributor in the back, only to find out they were no longer there….it appears from what is on the shelves inside (through the window) the restaurant is using the building for dry storage. I think it will take a bit more convincing to try this place. Not saying “no”, but not jumping at “yes” either.
