Our Story:
Tabouli was born from generations of Lebanese home cooks who believed food is love and meant to be shared. In our family, cooking has always been more than a tradition—it’s memory, identity, joy, and passion.
It began in Byblos, Lebanon, where our grandmother’s kitchen overflowed with the scent of mint, garlic, and lemon. She cooked with care, from the earth, feeding people generously and bringing everyone to the table.
When our family moved to Hawai‘i, her recipes came with us—tucked into our hearts. We found in Hawai‘i the same warmth and connection we knew back home, and it felt natural to share the flavors of our heritage.

First time trying Tabouli and everything was a HIT! My current favorites are the Chicken Shish wrap and the Kafta Plate. The Chicken Shish Wrap had good herb flavors, smokey flavor from the chicken and a nice bite of fresh garlic sauce – which I did get an extra side of. The Kafta Plate is a mixture of minced lamb and beef that’s formed into a sausage. It had a nice smokey flavor, very lean. The rice pilaf was super soft. What topped it off was the fresh hummus. I dipped everything in the Baba Ghanouj (eggplant dip) and the Labneh (yogurt sauce). If you have a chance to order the Pita Chips, do it. These pita chips were nicely salted, thin and crunchy. I also had the mint lemonade which was sweet and had a nice floral flavor added to it. To end everything, I ate the Bakalava. It had flakey, crispy dough on the outside and a sweet honey sauce on the inside, with pistachios. Definitely recommend! Can’t wait to try the next place!

Wow! My boyfriend and I went to check out this spot on a Saturday and they did not disappoint. The service is kind, fast, and has a great atmosphere. We got the falafel wrap and fish & chips. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to have a tasty meal and enjoy a fun laid back atmosphere.

We were so happy with our meal at Tabouli! We tried the falafel plate, falafel wrap, chicken shish wrap, and baklava, and everything was delicious. We happened to go on a Wednesday without realizing there’s a generous kama‘āina discount—such a nice surprise. The outdoor setting is lovely, and the staff was incredibly friendly and kind. This is such a wonderful addition to Waimea’s food scene—we will definitely return!
Oh, and I loved shopping at Hem & Haven while we waited for the food. I was pleasantly impressed by its European flair. Very excited to go back for more shopping 🙂

I have celiacs and they were very helpful in showing me what was gluten free and it was delicious. A little pricey in my opinion but the atmosphere was fun. I could see it being a very fun place to go eat and play with the kids if the prices were more family friendly.

Some of the best grinds in Waimea. The food is fresh, healthy and portions are big. My wife’s grandma is Lebanese and she grew up eating the same dishes, and says it tastes just the same. Everyone working here is super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is comfortable and great for families.

The food was delicious. That being said we waited about 5 minutes in the rain at the truck window before being acknowledged to order. The atmosphere is great, even on a chilly night, and the games on the tables were fun. We were the only ones there. A couple came maybe 10 minutes after we got there. After 30 minutes we were starving and excited to see our food coming. But nope it was for the people who arrived after us. I really can’t fathom why it took 45 minutes for 2 plates and 1 side dish. The quality, taste, and freshness of food was 5 star. Even though the fries came cold they were tasty. I’m sure they would have been delicious hot. I can’t imagine what the wait time is like when they’re busy. Lesson learned will be calling in pur order next time.

My husband and I split the chicken wrap and mint lemonade – so good! The garlic sauce was incredible. We’ll definitely be back to try the other food

First time trying Lebanese food and it was amazing! I had the chicken shish wrap and it was very aromatic and flavorful, and well crafted in my opinion. This might be my go-to when ordering at Tabouli’s. Nice spacious place situated in Waimea , I’d highly recommend this place.

If you had better tabouli in the US it means that you still live with your Lebanese or Palestinian grandmother. For the rest of us, this tabouli is the best thing we can get w/o having to travel.

I was excited to try this place based on the reviews and the fact I love Lebanese food. Unfortunately my family was disappointed in the flavor of the food. The bread was bland, the pita chips were very oily, the meat and falafel had no flavor. I did not feel the value for the price.
We took our food to go so I cannot Rate the atmosphere.
