Our first experience at AIOE was a wonderful one!! We came from a recommendation from a friend. We were a bit nervous based on the reviews for a sushi restaurant but I think a lot of the reviews are skewed from the first month of this restaurant being open and trying to figure out a good system. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS. The service here is EXCELLENT, our waiter, Robby, was an absolute gem and very attentive. The star of the show is the dim sum menu! We enjoyed the sushi and hibachi as well. We look forward to coming again!

The food was overall decent for $36 per person, especially since it was all-you-can-eat. Our server, Aldi, was fantastic always attentive and even noticed when a few dishes didn’t make it to the table, so big credit to him. I did run into some issues with certain orders not arriving, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The food took around 8 minutes to come which is overall great. Few improvements could be made, but overall it was a pretty solid experience.

The short ribs were delicious. The dumplings and dim sum was just alright. The pad thai was under seasoned, but the sushi was pretty good for the most part except the raw squid which had an odd texture. Overall, it’s worth going once for the experience but Sushi Mido is better overall if you want AYCE sushi even though sashimi and nigiri is included in the AYCE deal unlike at Sushi Mido. The tempura cheesecake was okay but the temperature was inconsistent with some parts being warm and some still being frozen.

Finally an AYCE sushi place in Kansas City!! We love going to AiOe on special occasions. Sushi is super fresh and there are such a wide variety of options! They have lots of rolls, appetizers, desserts, and more to choose from. All for $35 (dinner) is an insanely great deal. And the atmosphere / service has all been great too. You definitely have to make your way in!

I’ve been here twice. The first time was good, the grilled skewers were juicy and nice, sushi were great. But the second time, we were disappointed. Everything fried was super oily, and the skewers and hibachi meat were so dry it’s hard to swallow, even after I sent them back and they gave me new ones that were just as dry and hard. The staff were super nice and helpful with replacing some of the food for us, but the kitchen sent back the same quality food. The sushi are nice but please work on your meat options and fried appetizers. Overall, will give it another try.

I don’t know how to explain how fast the service was today, or how fresh and good tasting the different dishes were!!
Sashimi is a nice thick cut, soft and fresh with no fishy flavor at all, avocado was soft and brightly colored, the rolls were fairly filled and not just full of rice!

Other food types was perfectly cooked, hibachi, noodles, ramen, you name it

Their desserts are also very delightful, with free fountain drinks and some specialty drinks that cost a couple dollars extra!

Staff is super duper friendly and and the little kitty robots are so fun! (You can pet their ears!)

Highly recommend!!

Came here for my birthday dinner and this place exceeded every expectation. The entire staff came out to sing, clap, and celebrate with a birthday cake and candle — such a genuine and fun moment. The energy in this restaurant is unbeatable and every employee we interacted with was incredibly kind, conversational, and welcoming.

Now the food… unreal. This is hands down the best sushi experience I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The sashimi was buttery, the sushi was perfect, and the beef dishes were insane. Even the noodles were top tier. Every single plate was a hit — no misses.

If you want great food, great people, and an unforgettable dining experience — this is it. Absolutely phenomenal. 5 stars isn’t enough.

AIOE in the Northland is such a fun dining experience. You order right from your table, and the food is brought out by a mix of servers and little robots on wheels. Service was friendly, and everything we tried was delicious.

Tip: order what you’ll actually eat in the first round since extra rounds come with a 15-minute wait before you can order from that category again. They may also charge for excessive leftovers.

Definitely save room for dessert; the fried Oreo is a must-try. Drinks aren’t included, but for $3.50 you get free refills. A unique and tasty spot that’s worth visiting.

The atmosphere is great and lively. Our server Indra was super attentive and all our food was delicious. Appetizers cane out hot and fresh. Sashimi was thick cut and had a great texture.

Food was good and service was great. We went for lunch. Some menu items have a slight upcharge for the lunch menu. Mostly the nigi and a few more complex rolls (definitely not a deterrent since the upcharge is so minimal). We were told we could order every 15 mins and a timer would appear but we only got a timer on the appetizer portion of the menu and thats no big deal since we focused more on hibachi and the rolls. We didn’t run into any of the issues others have stated. That being said, we did go on a Monday at 2 o’clock. I think they have sorted out all the kinks from opening. We will definitely be back.
