An absolute Italian market gem in Mt. Laurel that’s been turning out killer sandwiches since the early ’90s. The second you walk into Boaggio’s there’s a lot to distract you in the best way: fresh pasta, hot trays of food, and a dessert case full of Italian sweets that makes it hard to stay focused. I spent a minute debating the menu and still know I’ll be back to try more.
I ended up going with The Don, which comes stacked with their chicken cutlet, burrata cheese, and vodka sauce. It’s one of those sandwiches where you realize halfway through you’re already full and keep going anyway. I got done with that “my stomach hurts but I have zero regrets” feeling, especially after adding a raspberry linzer to the mix. Easily some of the best eats around, and absolutely worth a detour.

I’m mad at myself that I haven’t gone here earlier. This place has been on my life for a while. Finally went, and I was glad I did. The pizza (mushroom truffle) was great, the crust was awesome. The chicken cutlet (Rosa) was against, perfect a mint of cutlet to cheese to bruschetta ratio, and again, the bread they make was amazing.

My wife recently gifted me the AMAZING South Jersey Food Scene (SJFS) Frequent Diner card, and today we visited Boaggio’s Bread in Mt. Laurel to use the card for the first time . It seems like we were the first ones to use the card at Boaggio’s as well . This place is such a GEM and we are SUPER grateful to have found it. The moment we walked in, we were blown away by the diverse and unique various offerings inside this Italian restaurant/bakery/store – I think the pictures speak for themselves! We were greeted by the most genuine smile from JAMIE (!), who was so courteous, answered all our questions, gave her awesome recommendations, did her best to accommodate all our requests, and totally made us feel so warm and welcome ❤️. The cheesesteak sandwhich on seeded bread was the highlight of our meal. We got it with peppers, onions, American cheese, mayo, and ketchup (and a side of hot peppers for me, which were so good!). The steak was soft, flavorful, and fresh/hot – one of the best cheesesteaks we’ve ever had! The Screamin Eagle Sammie was also an awesome buffalo-infused sandwhich on a soft brioche bun. We bought San Carlo pesto-flavored potato chips to eat with our sandwiches, and these chips smelled and tasted like fresh bread dipped in Italian oil/seasonings. Jamie also let me taste a spicy turkey meatball, and it was very good! For dessert, we got a chocolate “lobster tail” and let me tell you – that was the right choice! The chocolate filling paired with the wonderful texture of the pastry was INCREDIBLE. We are so grateful to the whole team there. We can’t wait to come back and try so many of the other items they offer at the store and on the menu (including the pizzas!). If you want fresh, QUALITY food with a smile, Boaggio’s is serving it up! HIGHLY recommended!!!

Amazing little Italian specialties to shop out of this world bread and banging chicken cutlets. I was jonesing for a chicken cutlet and they had all the ingredients to make a slammin south Philly Style sandwich. It turned out amazing. I also grabbed their cheesesteak bread, which is basically Stromboli a couple minutes in the air fryer and this was amazing too!

I have never been more blown away by customer service in my life. I walked in and immediately felt welcome, and even comfortable. They were more than helpful, kind, and generous!!! And truly every item I’ve tried has been more than delicious. Words fall short for how wonderful I believe this place to be. 10/10 would recommend to everyone looking for an incredible bakery experience. 100% will be back!!
Ps, I got a baguette and literally ate a 3rd of it, dry, in the car on the way home.

Today is the last day of Mardi Gras, so I had to see what my favorite place had. Let’s start with the shrimp po boy. It was delish with perfectly cooked shrimp. For dinner, I had the muffuletta. The bread was perfect and the olive tapenade was perfect. I also sampled the jambalaya-it was almost as good as my mom’s (Creole from Louisiana!) It came very close. This place is always a great option for just about anything!

First I want to say thank you to everyone there for always making such a fantastic sandwich. Today I got a cheese steak and as a fan of authentic Philly cheese steaks Boaggios definitely does a great job with theirs. I was not expecting anything outside of the normal military discount they give me every time I come in. However, today they honored me with a free meal for Veteran’s day. That was two days ago, but that didn’t matter to them. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! And not just for the free meal, but for the fact that every time I walk in there I’m met with a warm welcome from both aunt Paulette and Stacia! You two are both such incredible people and that needs to be recognized! Thank you for everything both of you do and the rest of the staff! It’s always a great experience from start to finish!

I went into this place today for lunch. I ordered a chicken sandwich with provolone and Broccoli rabe. The bread is fantastic. It was nice crunchy and light. The chicken cutlet lacked flavor and so did the broccoli rabe. The bread made the entire sandwich. I come from Brooklyn so finding good bread in south Jersey is next to impossible. They definitely came through. I also got my favorite Italian Chips San Carlo. I will post a picture of the ingredients. Please look at the ingredients, and compare to an American bag of chips, and see how this country kills people with processed foods and carcinogens. This is why the obesity rate is out of control and America has the most unhealthiest children. I also bought a large can of Ciao Tomatoes which are the best tomatoes you can buy here in the states from Italy. There even better than Mutti tomatoes. My wife likes Pignoli cookies so I bought 12 of them for an outrageous price of $29.00. Overall the place is nice but prices are ridiculous. I will return though for the bread. The bread is definitely worth the trip.

I’m an Italian immigrant and I must say their food is phenomenal. Their shop reminds me of my childhood. They have REAL Italian ingredients and made to go food. Things I haven’t had since childhood, they have. I could spend 1000 dollars in there easily. The crew is kind and knowledgeable. I absolutely love this place for all my authentic ingredients and premade meals. Try their fresh spinach ravioli, it’s incredible. Their bread is top notch, it’s delicious with just oil, early pepper and red pepper flakes. Their fried zucchini uses real batter from Italy. I finally found a place in New Jersey that represents Italians, not just Italian Americans. I’d give them 100/100 stars if I could.

I had high expectations of this place but…My friend gave his cannoli an 8…I give my cannoli a 4 it wasn’t filled with ricotta all way threw & no powder sugar on top…Upside down slice was burnt & just ok…$26.66 for 4 items seems to be very expensive (Bag of Chips, 2 cannolis & 1 slice). I have to come back & try their bread. Good selection of Italian imported products. Thanks for the good service see you soon on Everything Italian Tour…Ciao Bella!!!
