I really hate to do this but maybe this will provide correction. This is the second delivery order that was messed up. I ordered a large Curry Goat and a large Pineapple Ginger beverage, to be delivered with Ubereats on 10/29/25 around 1:15pm. I put in the notes to substitue my rice with plantain. I asked for plantain, and cabbage as my sides NO extra gravy and extra plantains. I checked all of this on the app and put it in the notes. I received the opposite. A ton of gravy and white rice. no cabbage. The order before this was also wrong, and I didn’t say anything because sometimes things happen. I normally get my delivery order correct. When I ask for no gravy and just plantain and cabbage its correct. I don’t know what is happening but I hope next time the directions are followed.

The atmosphere is not their fault. As new person to this town I am missing my normal Jamaican spots. And the abundance of them. This place was well worth the drive and visit!!!! The portion size is how it should be! My plate was heavy. The guy there understood the assignment when I said “heavy on the gravy”. The cabbage was seasoned and was softer than most places. The rice and peas was not crunchy. The curry goat was the opener but my drink was the star of the show. I mixed the pineapple and ginger and sorrel and it was back to the goat. That goat was very good. I had a lot of bones but I don’t mind cause that’s where the flavor is. Very well seasoned. I tore my plate up in the parking lot and can’t wait to finish it at home.

This may be one of the best kept secrets in Athens, and it shouldn’t be because it deserves all the praise. I got the jerk pork plate. The meat is well seasoned and tender, the rice is perfectly cooked, the cabbage is incredible, and the plantains are delightful.
I got the mild beef patties for my husband – the meat is obviously slow cooked and tender and the crust is flaky and delicious.
They have an excellent selection of meats (ox tail, chicken, pork, beef, goat) and great sides in addition to a variety of fresh drinks. I’ll definitely be back regularly.

316 Caribbean in Athens offers great Caribbean/ Jamaican dishes at reasonable prices. Staff members are friendly and helpful and customers can eat right there or choose take out. The juice selection is fantastic, as well. Food options range from meat pies to chicken, ribs, curry, and oxtail stew with plenty of side options. The restaurant is inside the Mall at the food court and is open 6 days a week.

Very nice and kind people, food smells and looks good. The areas around the food, ice, drinks, etc very clean. I only had the peas and rice with oxtail gravy….. Brunch, lunch, dinner you choose but please don’t skip….. Order up!!!!!

One of the better ethnic restaurants in the area. Everything is very good. Tried the chicken in brown sauce, pork shoulder, jerk chicken, ox tail, beef pattie, rice and peas, cabbage. Food not too hot (unlike Kelly’s which can be overly hot sometimes). Not a loser in the bunch. Price extremely reasonable for the required preparation and serving size. A three option lunch special at $9.99, one of the best deals in town. Dining is in the old food court, which isn’t ideal, but at least it was quiet. Most definitely worth a trip to try out.

Greeted up Arrival! First time here, it was delicious! We tried the Jerk chicken wings, oxtail & the brown chicken stew. So delicious & full of flavor! We had the DJ mix drink over ice! Freshly made juice. Similar to Aguas Frescas. We will be back, highly recommend!

Tried this place for the first time today and it will be a new go to! The Mac and cheese is literally the best I’ve had in Athens. The jerk chicken wings were so good and the rice,beans,gravy are incredible – so much flavor.

This food was 10/10!!! I live in Winder- about 25 mins away!! Normally I’d go to the eastside for Jamaican food- nope! This was delicious!! The service and presentation was amazing. So yummy. Will definitely take another trip!
