Take out. Tasty food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Small buffet, but nice. All the food looks appetizing. It makes you want to try everything. Hats off to the cook ! Nice friendly staff. Highly recommended. The sorrel is pretty good also.

Food is good but the customer service could be a little better. I know customer service, at the register is very difficult at times. Especially in cold weather and difficult customer. But it’s the first and last thing people will experience at a Deli. A smile always makes a difference in a small business☺️

I love the food here! Authentic Jamaican fare in the heart of Mount Vernon. Amazing Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat. They actually cook a lot of the meat outside on a huge grill! Tasted amazing and will be back many times.

Great food. But they charge you $10 for lunch special only 4 jerk wings. All rice. Tried again charged $14 same time. Weekday… their prices are way too high also VERY inconsistent… hard to support

The food is good, but there is no set price for anything. The price changes every time I come here, and I usually get the same order. Food is supposed to be charged by the pound, but they charge you based on whatever they feel—greedy establishment.

I had the small jerk chicken with rice and peas, steamed cabbage and oxtail gravy over the rice. It cost 13.50 for the meal. Value-wise, pretty big portion. I think two light eating people could share this for lunch. I eat heavy and could’t finish a big piece of chicken at the end.
Positives: big portions, not salty, they use the grill outside to give it that extra flavor, and the chicken dark meat pieces were not dry at all, and the white meat parts were not overly dry. Some small parts dry but I think thats to be expected for the thin parts on a grill.
The jerk seasoning on the chicken was on the mild side, and a little muted, but there was a great smoky quality from the outdoor grill. The rice and peas, not bad. I didn’t have a negative customer service experience, they were pleasant.
I would rate my single dish as decent. Not the best jerk chicken or rice and peas I have had, but for the money good value.

A small take out spot in a crowded unassuming little strip mall. The secret is the best cooks in the entire area are there! A really good variety of meats in delicious sauces, fish, chicken many ways, the absolute best mac & cheese, vegetables and my new addiction – Chicken Vegetable Cheesy Lasagna’, OMG! They serve very healthy size portions for your money too!

Visiting from UK don’t have many nice jamaican restaurants where we are from. Took a chance to buy from here. Do not typically leave reviews however the oxtail and curry goat was exceptional just the right amount of spice, well seasoned and falling of the bone. Friendly customer service and plenty parking. Unfortunately scoffed all the food before remembering to take photos. Lovely amount of food for the price. Definitely going to visit again before retuning home.

visited this establishment and had a disappointing experience with both their pricing and customer service. I ordered a small platter, priced at $10, and requested chicken. However, I was told I couldn’t get chicken unless I paid $8.99 per pound from the buffet section. This pricing structure is unreasonable, as it would cost me more than the regular $10 platter for less food. This feels like a poor business practice, and the service left much to be desired. I won’t be returning, and I encourage others to reconsider visiting as well.
