Great food with impeccable service! There were not a lot of other tables when I visited, but the service was top-notch! Empty plates were taken pretty much immediately, and dishes were timed perfectly, so the next dish was being brought out as I finished the one in front of me. Everything I ate was an absolute delight! Highly recommend the gyoza(they looked and tasted so good I forgot to get a picture) and grilled ginger squid appetizers. The sakura roll was tantalizing on the eyes and a party for the taste buds. I also ordered the seafood teriyaki plate and devoured every bit off of it. It’s a little more expensive than fast food, but average pricing for a nice sit-down dinner now adays. 10/10 highly recommend

Always a top-notch experience here! I won’t go anywhere else for sushi—the ingredients are always fresh, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is great. Prices are very reasonable, and I always leave full and happy. I never feel icky after eating here. Always a recommended place to family and friends that want a good sushi restaurant.

Absolutely delicious Japanese cuisine. We had their dinner boxes, Sakura roll, and cheese wontons. Perfectly proportioned food for the price. The shrimp tempura was buttery and delicately flaky. The shrimp and salmon was so good. My husband’s beef teryaki box had the best beef teryaki I have ever tasted. The cheese wontons were handmade and delicious. The Sakura roll was a wonderful balance of sweet and savory. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Folks, I’m an Asian food freak. I was recently in Thailand, which is regarded as one of the foodie capitals of the world. This place absolutely gets with the overseas flavor and authentic tastes of the cuisine they offer compared to my overseas experience.
Food is stellar. Meats are tender and perfectly cooked, excellent cuts as well. The Tempura shrimp was buttery smooth and crisp textured.
Even the deep-fried broccoli was awesome.
Their wontons were sweet, crisp, and light. The Sakura roll was a treat, crab meat, and all. Sweet sticky rice. The Wasabi was potent and hung around.
I could write a book here.
The atmosphere was modern but not minimal. Their sushi bar bar none the best in the area for western Wisconsin.
Service was fast efficient and extremely friendly.
Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Parking is efficient and plenty.
It was packed in here for a Thursday in town.
To the owners, we will be returning. My wife and I salute you.

Delicious food and informative service. I ordered mango tango and the flavor profile was tasty amd the sushi was pretty!

The food and service is amazing, The menu is huge, so you get variety of foods to order from. We ordered a lot of different types of sushi and we loved them all. The tempura appetizer shrimp is really tasty. I would recommend Yamato for a sushi enthusiast and would advice to explore if you’re new to sushi, They have a lot to offer!
They are closed on a Monday, and are open pretty much throughout the day with some 1 hour break between lunch and dinner.
The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and what they have to offer. Enjoyed my experience. I recommend this restaurant!

Great place for lunch. I have been there around 10 times and every time was great. I have never been there for dinner. I have ordered the bento box with all the different meats except salmon. I have also ordered the steak hibachi meal. Either are a good choice. I will definitely continue to go to this restaurant. I will add photos when I remember to take them. I usually start eating right away and forget!
