I’ve been all over for Pizza. I’ve been to NY, west coast, abroad. This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. Forget the price! (Which its outrageously reasonable! As of this review it’s $2.99 per slice of cheese.) The crisp and thin but still mess you up, crust has everything you could ask for from your father-in-law while the front with a melty hug of cheese has everything you want from your sisters aunt. It’s a melty crunchy marriage made by the hand of God and placed into the ovens of Johnny’s New York Style Pizza. You won’t be disappointed. The undercarriage is strong, the crust is robust, the cheese is sensational and the sauce to everything else ratio is exactly where it should be.
Service is 10/10, atmosphere is sports bar and hits all marks, non-pizza is fantastic (as well as the pizza) I’ve tried their spaghetti and meatballs, it was a great paring and delivered a “we can do Italian” taste to the tongue successfully.
Separately my server Cole was a 10/10, gave attentive service to our parties needs and we were well hydrated. He really drove a good report with me and cause a serious 10/10 rating, one that covered all aspects.
This place is exactly where you and your family need to be when it’s Pizza time or game day!

My visit to Johnny’s Pizza was absolutely fantastic, earning a well-deserved five stars! If you’re looking for quality food and genuinely great service, this is the spot.
We ordered a pizza, garlic knots, and cheese sticks, and everything was exceptional.
The Food
The pizza was the star—the crust was perfectly thin and crunchy, and the toppings were not only amazing but also incredibly generous. The side items were just as impressive: the cheese sticks were extra cheesy, and the garlic knots were soft, tasty, and delightful. Every item was clearly made with care.
The Service
The entire staff made our experience , although the place was packed and busy they managed to take care of us in a timely manner. wonderful. Our waitress, along with Crysta, Cole, and Chase, were all incredibly great and attentive. It’s clear they take pride in providing excellent service, which really elevates the dining experience.
I highly recommend Johnny’s Pizza for anyone craving top-tier pizza and friendly service!

It has been so nice to have another Johnny’s Pizza because the Pizza and Wings at the Sugarloaf location has been a wonderful Friday Night luxury. This new spot opened about 1 year ago in downtown Gainesville in a gorgeous building. As of 2025, this is the Pizza spot in the Gainesville; yes better than Atlas Pizza on the square and Venditti’s. The service and quality were splendid from a young hard working teenager. The facility was huge and the patio area overlooked Jesse Jewel Highway.
They have a full bar and one of the few spots that still carry craft IPAs. We had a homemade margarita and Wild Leap.. so good.
As for food, we had a small Greek salad with Greek dressing; it was well prepared.
We also had Mild Wings and Garlic Parmesan wings. Now the Chef said it was his first time making because they were not on the menu. However, we have to say, they were hands down the best we’ve had, ahead of Taco Mac: garlic butter and topped with shreds of Parmesan. OMGness!! We highly recommend getting but you have to request.
We also had a veggie slice and a slice of pepperoni; both were absolutely the “bomb!”
With that, if you have a taste for pizza and wings, we highly recommend this new Johnny’s Pizza.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. I got pepperoni, Canadian bacon on the whole pie, and left half jalapeño and pineapple. At first glance I was worried if it was cooked enough, but as you can see, the undercarriage is cooked PERFECTLY! I really like the crust flavor and texture. Top 3 marinara sauces I’ve ever had! Make sure you have plenty to dip your crusts in! I’ll order again next time I’m in Gainesville! I got it delivered via DoorDash.

I can’t say enough about the compassion and kindness shown here… COLE is an angel!
My 11-year-old had a rough moment and ended up at this pizza place on his own.
Not only did the staff make sure he was safe and well-fed with a slice of pizza and ice cream, but Cole took the time to call me so I knew where he was and that he was okay.
When I arrived, Cole refused any payment for the food, saying he just wanted to help. (Which I did insist on compensating for)
Cole’s empathy and understanding in what was a stressful situation as a moment of struggle meant the world to both of us.
He treated my son with dignity and kindness, and when we spoke, his warmth and reassurance reminded me that there are still truly good people in this world.
He deserved more than just the hug he accepted.
This is the kind of community care that makes a real difference.
We’re so grateful, and this place has earned our family’s loyalty forever.
Thank you Cole, for looking out for a kid who needed it and for being exactly the kind of person we all hope to encounter when things get tough.

Love this Johnny’s location just across the Bridge to Nowhere in Gainesville!
The thin crust pizzas are delicious – so much flavor and tons of toppings. The garlic knots were a perfect starter and we enjoyed their selection of interesting beers and canned cocktails too.
We grabbed the Philly cheese Stromboli to go for our son and he scarfed it down. It was stuffed with meat and cheese.
The views were cool, wide open with lots of windows, a balcony eating area that looks out over Jesse Jewell and several televisions for catching the game. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Looking forward to trying them out for some team trivia soon!!

Stopped in for some pizza and ended up having one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The food was awesome! Fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can tell they actually care about their pizza here! Prices are also Great!
But the real star of the show was Crystal, my server. She was absolutely phenomenal !! Super friendly, on top of everything, and just had such a great attitude. She made the whole experience feel personal and fun. I have a Johnnys closer to home but I choose to stay here!
If you’re ever in Gainesville, definitely hit up Johnny’s and ask for Crystal. She’ll take great care of you, and you’ll leave full and happy.

I go to Johnny’s in Atlanta a lot. This hands down is the best one I have been in my life. The lemon pepper wing were probably the best I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! All the ingredients on the sub was so FRESH, GOOD and Tasty. I will br stopping here everything Ito return from Cherokee. The service was very good also. Did not get the servers name but I finished about 2 pm and she was a tall female wearing black shorts.
