My 1st time having Italian shaved ice so my aunt took me to Rita’s in the cold. I wanted a the coconut cream ice with vanilla custard topping but they were out of both. Guess they had a busy night as it was only 8pm. I got the mango ice and it was very good . Next time I visit my family I’ll have go earlier.

the lady who serves the ice, was rude, when I kindly asked her that something was off about the ice, Mango to be exact- I always get mango but today it tasted like ear wax- so she just told me oh next time tell us to try it…. I was like um I always get mango, she just ignored it- and I didn’t say anything but thank you at the end, and also she looked at me like if I was crazy .rude. But ok RITAS MAKE SURE UR ICE IS UP TO DATE cause this is not the first time the ice tasted bad, I know how all the flavors taste when they are normal lol

I love Rita’s since forever, yet tonight my husband and I went with a friend and the young lady who attended us, her name is Sofia, obviously Hispanic and with an accent refused to speak to us in spanish. I am bilingual, but my husband speaks only Spanish. She said in English to her partner, “Take them, I don’t want to speak Spanish with them. Like she was better than us cause she thought none of us spoke english. The other young lady who attended us was very nice. Some ppl can be so rude and need real training, and I pray she gets fired. Until she learns to behave properly with customers.

I love this place but they need to revamp the outside eating area. Possibly should add more tables or section the area so it is not in the middle of a parking lot by a Goodwill. Good food and service like every other Rita’s though. Always appreciate a good mango and vanilla gelati.

The Italian ice smoothie was better than I remembered. No line at the time we visited. Service was prompt and polite. Not really a place to eat the treats, but we didn’t expect that.

Since moving to this area in 07. I’ve always support local businesses. It’s a Philly tradition to have “Italian ice” and a pretzel (Summertime!) I like this business and love the products they offer. I also appreciate the fact that they employ the local kids in the area. Thumbs up to the owners. The three star rating is just this; apart to being a retired government Employee we are also retired military. For the past two years I’ve compiled a list that would help local military families find a great place for their families and save a few bucks. Last week I had visited this establishment and asked the young lady(didn’t get her name) if the business offered military or first responders discount? She gave a 10% discount and we spent $30 dollars. We frequent this establishment and like it, so we try to go at least twice a week(three grandkids). Today I always ask, and they said “No we never give military discounts.” “I’ve worked here 4 years and we never gave that kind of discount.” Quoted by a polite young man by the name of Josh. He was extremely polite. Now, I have no issue with or without the discount. My issue is training your staff so that ALL will be on the same page. Doing something one week and then the next following week; nobody has a clue. I have removed this business from the list but I will still support my local businesses. There’s a local ice cream shop across the way that does give military discounts (Carvel’s).

This is the worst ritas around the outside area needs some cleaning and I travel a distance to get custard and have to take a cooler and usually get my custard in cups instead of dishes so I can put them in my coolers (I do this every week with no problem) well the girls working there refused to do it and were very rude about it won’t be returning to this Rita’s very unhappy

Our treats were good their prices continue to be reasonable. My children chose the ice flight where they were able to choose up to 4 flavors and custard. The staff was nice and courteous.
