We got the wing, which for columbus was a new touch, tamarind sweet and spicy. Great size and crisp.
We also go the Punjabi curry and chicken tikka masala. Both served piping hot and well seasoned.
Service was excellent
Vibe is great for small parties, and pre gaming. Bar set up is great for such.
There are so many things here that I would like to try, especially their desserts.
My server Chloe B was helpful and quite knowledgeable about the menu.
Taj on Fifth is a fantastic Indian restaurant with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well prepared, and the quality really stood out.
The curated cocktails were surprisingly good, and the bartender was incredibly helpful—especially when it came to recommendations and guiding us through the menu. That made the decision-making process easy and enjoyable.
The food was definitely the highlight, and even the kids enjoyed their meals, which says a lot. Overall, it was a great dining experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!
The ambiance is delightful, with both a beautiful patio for outdoor seating and a cozy interior. The service was exceptional, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Now, let’s talk about the food! Everything was incredibly authentic, and you can taste the care put into each dish. I started with the Jackson Heights drink, a unique blend of two Indian whiskeys and Bourbon whiskey—it was fantastic! For the main course, I tried the Kyle Chaat lamb chops, veggie fritters, and chicken tikka masala with naan; every bite was delicious.
I highly recommend Taj on 5th for anyone looking for an amazing dining experience. They also offer catering, so keep that in mind for future events. I left completely satisfied and can’t wait to come back!
We enjoyed the clean, inviting, cozy atmosphere, and the flavors are what you’d hope for with anything labeled “Indian”, but this with a twist…
The smashed samosa, masala paneer wrap, and Gulab Jamu Tiramisu was delicious.
The Masala Chai tea had us asking for seconds. A bit on the sweet side, but tastes like what you’d get from a Chai Wala back in Mumbai…
We arrived at the tail end of brunch, and we’ll definitely try this place for dinner one day soon.
Easy wheelchair access is a plus!
Small Plates – Crispy Kale Chaat & Beef Boti Kebab
Large Plates – Rajasthani Lal Maas & Grilled Masala Lamb Chops

Flatbreads – Tandoori Roti & Garlic Naan

The chef is humble, but the food speaks volumes. You can feel the passion in every bite — from rich curries to smoky tandoori delights. This isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience.
The galouti kebabs, just like the ones from Lucknow. I have never seen a galouti kebab on the menu anywhere in Columbus and I was presently surprised to find it here.
