We stopped for a quick bite and some scenery today while we were out birding. There was outside seating with water views of the lake which connects to the St Johns River. I enjoyed a delicious blackened chicken sandwich and fries. My 2 dogs also enjoyed some of the fries. The service was great and the views of the lake were beautiful.

Super chill vibe that can ramp up with intensity when planes, helicopters, and airboats arrive. Great entertainment that doesn’t disturb your dining experience. Huge portions, hot and fresh, and amazing bartenders. The indoor dining and service area are awesome, the grand piano fits right in.
A star takeaway due to very tough Gator Bites. The portion was over the top and the bite sizes are way better than any other restaurant. Won’t keep me from ordering again!

Great food and stunning views. Table service, at least inside, would’ve been nice. Interior seems to be in the midst of being redone (server said they had a flood last year so it’s probably from that). The food is great but for the price it’d be nice if it wasn’t served on disposable plates. Definitely a hidden gem and they seem to be planning on building more stuff at this cute little fish camp style hideaway.

Great restaurant right by a lake with great american style food, reasonable prices and great service! You can sit indoors or outdoors right by the lake and the bar and catch the sunset! Highly recommended!

Awesome place, good food, the bar restrooms could be a little more tidy, not sure an employee has been in either one in a while. Toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor, some with Cobb website covering them, been like that for a while, we were there around noon, they had been open for an hour already. We did get to see four sea planes land as well as a helicopter to meet up for lunch there too. Will go back again, hopefully bar bathrooms get a little love. We had the crab stuffed filet with home fries and broccoli and pesto tomato basil chicken sandwich with fried corn on the cob.

The food and service were excellent! There was plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor seating. A live band was playing outside at the bar. We had the gator bites, blackened fish tacos and the seafood pot pie and everything was delicious. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Get here by car… or airboat?! Loughman’s Lakeside is about a mile and a half off the main road, but totally worth the detour. The food is fresh (get the gator tail—you won’t regret it), and the atmosphere is laid-back, friendly, and full of locals. It feels like one of those spots you’re glad you found. The dirt road in is a little rough, but honestly, part of the charm. Or skip it and roll up by airboat for full Florida vibes. We’ll be back for sure.

Nothing bad to say about this place. What a hidden gem. Casual atmosphere, beautiful views. Food was incredible, I had the smash burger, hubby had the fried fish and shrimp platter, we both enjoyed it all. Service was spot on with the casual environment.

Smash burger and fries were so good. The best smash burger I have had in a long time. And one of the best margaritas I have had. We sat outside which happened to be a beautiful afternoon and got to watch a helicopter and a small water plain take off. Great place. Definitely recommend it.
