We came in for breakfast at this historic location. We greeted by a professional, friendly staff. The Chef, Rian McLaughlin and his team were wonderful and the breakfast was incredible. His team was able to adjust the menu to our dietary restrictions. They have wonderful custom coffee selections.

Went here for breakfast after night shift! Loved that it was open at 7am! The service was amazing and the food was great! Loved the mini waffles and the eggs benedict! The ambience was so nice too!

My husband and I went for Sunday brunch and everything was fantastic. This was formerly Benne on Eagle and attached to the Foundry hotel. The space and decor is gorgeous. Service was fantastic. We tried a couple of their coffee features; the iced “pina colada” was amazing – house pineapple syrup, coconut cream, espresso, and toasted coconut shavings. Very unique! They have a build-your-own bloody Mary bar and other creative brunch cocktails.

The food was so delicious. There brunch menu includes starters and mains. I love that you can do a half order of mini waffles for $6, because sometimes you just want a little bite of sweet. But instead, we tried the Blueberry Ricotta Fritters with a lemon cardamom curd and toasted poppy seeds. The Omelet du Jour was salmon and dill; it was creamy and perfectly cooked. I think the Strada du Jour stole the show. It was a pastrami Reuben-inspired egg bake that was so savory and delish. The sides were on point as well; we tried the cheesy grits and rosemary potatoes.

Only downside is how few people were dining. This place is newish, a tad off the beaten path on Eagle Street, and still an undiscovered gem. I will definitely be back and bring friends. I hope Asheville comes around, because this place is worthy of being a brunch favorite.

This was the best breakfast I have ever had. The omelet was fantastic, the fruit was so fresh and the salad was everything I didn’t know I needed. Wasn’t expecting such a great breakfast in a hotel but this was it!

Awesome brunch spot! I had the omelette with pulled pork, pimento cheese topped with a jalapeño aioli. Our server Tara was great and a real sweetheart. We will be back!

I can’t say enough good things about The Refinery, tucked inside The Foundry Hotel in Asheville. From the moment we sat down, both the food and the hospitality showed up in full force. I’m fairly certain the phrase “best hotel breakfast ever” was said out loud. Perhaps by me.

Jasmine, the food and beverage manager, could not have been warmer or more engaging, taking time to share stories about Asheville along with the history of the restaurant and hotel. The breakfast potatoes are absolutely not to be missed, though honestly everything we ate was delicious. My husband particularly enjoyed the make your own Bloody Mary bar. Will have to come back for the make your own Hot Chocolate bar with all the fixings. Highly recommend.

I stopped in planning to take a quick look and then leave the hotel and cash in a Starbucks gift card, but one look at the beautiful Christmas breakfast menu—and the warm welcome from the staff—changed my plans entirely. What followed was a truly magical breakfast: delicious, creative, and filled with the love and artistry Asheville is known for. An unforgettable Christmas morning experience. We will absolutely be back and plan to make this a holiday tradition!

We had a fantastic experience at the Refinery for a small bridal shower last Saturday. Danica and Jasmine (food and beverage managers) plus all of the waitstaff and valets were super accomodating and provided an exceptional experience for our group. The brunch menu was inventive but also offered traditional options. Both the food and drinks were delicious. We enjoyed the Market Street Breakfast, Croque Madame Benedict, Blueberry Ricotta Fritters, and Mini Waffles. There was a Bloody Mary bar, mimosas, and even a sparkly cocktail which our daughter, the bride, loved! The setting is elevated but approachable there–rustic brick walls with tall ceilings letting in a lot of light. Because it is tucked away in the Foundry Hotel complex behind city hall, it’s a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered. It can be tricky to understand the streets and parking options in that area, but it’s easy to navigate with good directions. Option 1: Take Charlotte Street to Eagle Street, then make a left on S Market. Almost immediately on the left, you’ll see the Foundry driveway (51 S Market Street) between the brick buildings. Pull into the courtyard and make use of the free valet parking (if you eat at the Refinery, they will stamp your ticket). Option 2: Also from Charlotte Street–take Eagle, but make a right on S Spruce, then make another right on Marjorie and the first parking lot on the right is free city parking. It’s a short walk to the restaurant from there (35 Eagle Street). I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience we had here and how much this breakfast/brunch spot deserves to be discovered and supported!
