I’m a sucker for a good sandwich, but at the same time, very picky when it comes to eating out. I rate Larry’s as the best sandwich shop in Statesboro. The bread is always fresh, & their deli meats are the best quality. More importantly, what I order is consistent. My favorite part is that the place is locally owned. Most days, the owner is behind the counter, working hard with his staff, which gives it a personal feel. A rarity in this age of corporate-owned chain restaurants. But today topped it, I forgot to ask for my pickle spears on the side, and the owner saw me leaving and ran out with a couple wrapped, and “asked if I forgot to ask for them?” Two thumbs up!

One fine day I was driving down the road finding myself famished. I stopped in to this small locally owned eatery and was greeted with the warmest of smiles by its handsome proprietor, Mr. Greer. I said, “sir, I am hungry” and he looked me, grinning, and said, “say no more!”.
Almost instantly his arms began gyrating at a speed so high all that was visible beneath his head was a cloud of air and dust. As quickly as it began, it ended and before I could even register what had just happened, I was staring at the most picturesque sandwich a human mind could conceive of.
“H-how much do I owe you?” I could barely get the sentence out, my experience so good and my expectations so exceeded it was to the point I had entered a state of hypnosis. He smiled back at me and then, leaning ever so delicately across the counter planted the most gentle kiss upon my forehead. “Go, my son. Seize this day.”
I have never been the same.

Very confused and a little put out. Went in and ordered 3 different 12 in. subs. I was charged $2-3 more per sub than the prices listed on the wall. When I questioned why, they said “cooperate” had raised prices but they had not changed the prices on the wall. I think that’s crazy and unfair to the customers. They should honor the posted price. BTW, subs were great.
