Ordered delivery on DoorDash because Uber eats wasn’t working properly. It was charging the orders 2x the price & you couldn’t click on certain things.
The Larb had no flavor, very very bland.
Good thing I asked for a side or the flavored powder or it would not be edible.
The papaya salad just tasted like peanuts, also very very bland & smells like gasoline.
The papaya salad is not edible for me.
Tom yum soup was ok, little too much tomato paste taste
The Thai ice tea tasted normal but spilled all in the bag.
The Thai custard was super soggy with water at the bottom of it, I think it was hot & steamed inside the container.
Also not good flavor wise & weird texture, probably because it got soggy.
All of it was very pricey & a waste of money!
Very disappointed!
I was craving some good Thai food tonight!
Unless you like food that has ZERO flavor then I do NOT recommend.
I say I’m vegetarian and wanted the veggie egg roll, veggie roll, veggie Tom Yum soup, and Tofu Pad Thai. I repeated “vegetarian, no fish sauce, no oyster sauce” over and over. She responded “take out pick one, only soup.” I said “what? I only get to pick one if I take out?” She replied that I was correct and surprised I said “fine, give me the soup.” Then I said “so the soup is vegetarian right?” and now she says “no, not vegetarian. Vegetable but not vegetarian.”
So now I’m down to one app that I can’t even eat and then asked for the Pad Thai with Tofu, no meat. I AGAIN asked to confirm that there’s no fish or oyster sauce, and she said the pad Thai has fish sauce. I asked “Can you make it without the fish sauce?”
She said no, and at that point I thought this had become ridiculous and left. Won’t return, I’m an idiot for even bothering to try giving these guys business.
The best Thai food in the neighborhood is at Siri Thai II in Palatine, this place is a joke and not surprised they were completely empty. Obviously we won’t be returning to this place. I’ve owned and operated restaurants in the past and whoever they’ve hired to work the front (middle aged Thai/Asian woman) is simply incapable of doing her job.
She starts rolling her eyes and muttering under her breath, and told us that we had to order right away.
We ordered appetizers and then she told us we couldn’t order anything else. “Our kitchen wants to go home” or something along those lines. The appetizers were fine, but l’ve never been rushed out of a place before they even close. The lady was so nasty!
