This place was great! We stopped by while passing through town and had no trouble finding street parking. Ordered the Classic Blackstone, and the poached eggs were perfect with a really tasty hollandaise sauce. We also tried the Nelly French toast, which was generous with the Nutella and strawberries. If I’m back in town, I’d definitely come back again!

What a neat little gem! The food was excellent (we had breakfast) the coffee was fantastic and the service was so welcoming and atmosphere was such a sweet space. We were just passing through on our way from Yellowstone to Glacier and so glad we found this place. Our traveling Stella the rabbit gets her picture at all our favorite stops so our granddaughter can follow her along our journey. Bread & Butter deserved a photo shoot with Stella!!

We’ve been wanting to come here for a while and finally made it this morning. This had to be the cleanest place we’ve been…anywhere. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We are gluten free so eating out can be difficult. They had great gf options and offered suggestions. The food was delicious. We ordered 2 different things and shared. One was a special: smash burger with fried eggs, hash browns and cheese on gf toast (would be a bagel for non gf) with fruit. The other was scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast with fruit compote and side of bacon. Everything was wonderful and we have leftovers. We also tried several of their cocoas and they were amazing (peanut butter, white chocolate and hazelnut). We will definitely go again! Thank you!!

Delicious! Stopped here on our way to Glacier. Easy to park, no wait, great service, and the food was super fresh and delicious.
I ordered the sunrise sandwich and it was excellent. I also got a side of seasonal fruit and it was all perfectly ripe blueberries, strawberries and green grapes.
Drinks are yummy too.

Home-made, home-made, home-made!
Bright, cheery atmosphere with some of the best gravy ever.
I had flaky, buttery biscuits with berry compote, crispy hash browns, and perfect chicken fried steak.
Lisa had their champaign-vinagrette salad and a nice big latte.
Really pleasant, attentive staff. If you’re traveling through, at least stop in for a take-away chocolate eclair or cheesecake!

This place is a hidden gem! I went with some friends for lunch and it was spectacular. We all sampled each other’s sandwiches and all 3 were fabulous, especially the figgy piggy. I also had a latte with lavendar and it was one of the best I’ve had in Montana. Two thumbs way, way up! Staff were nice, the decor is cool, and they have a good restroom.

Best breakfast on the road so far. This is a chicken fried steak from bread and Butter in Townsend, MT. Coffee is great, too. The hash browns could be a little crispier, but that’s my only complaint. 😉

If you’re eating breakfast here, the prices are all very similar no matter what you order. Expect to pay $13-$14. The food is great, but I have to say the raspberry and cream latte I ordered was probably one of the best lattes I’ve ever had! It was so smooth…and only $4 for a 12 oz. Had I known the price ahead of time, I would’ve ordered the 16 oz for only 50 cents more. So good!! Check out the limited time summer lattes.
