I really didn’t want to make this review cause the owners are really nice people but the food is absolutely disgusting. This review isn’t to bash them but to motivate them before it’s too late. Ordered a fried chicken sandwich and I got a grilled tasteless grilled chicken with zero toppings on a hamburger bun, something a 7 year old could make. If you’re going to give me a completely different order at least make it taste good . The fries taste stale and old, not fresh at all. Also ordered a pastrami sub and it came on a hot dog bun with zero toppings and no cheese and the pastrami tasted stale. One of the worst takeouts if not the worse I ever had in my life absolutely dreadful.

Been in a couple times now. Servers were great BUT there was multiple people waiting and the person up front was seemingly doing it all…
I got a lobster roll, and it didn’t taste great…. it was okay but the pepper or something in it sort of threw it off. Then next time I got the gravy and fries ( they were good) then an antipasto salad and I didn’t like the taste of the meat on top of it ( tasted bad?) ( and I get it other places…. and like it).
By no fault of the waiter I waited a while to check out…. and others waiting on her, just seemed like she needed help.
Would update if I have a nice experience next time.

Tried this for the first time my fellow coworker said I should check it out. It’s got good food that is wrong. We went there For 1230 12/27/25 The place was empty. I thought maybe because it was the snow but now I don’t think that’s the case. I wanted to order loaded nachos which I was informed they are out of the decided to get jalapeño poppers and a chef salad with chicken which took about 20 minutes to prepare. Even though we were the only patrons there the jalapeño poppers were cold. The salad was absolutely disgusting wilted lettuce, mushy tomatoes only had one kind of lettuce one on the menu. It says there’s four kinds cleanliness is definitely not their highest priority there. I definitely do not recommend this place and will never be back.

starting to go down hill the selection of ice cream has been failing and just running out of the best ones use to have it stocked but just not the same now …and got rid of the young gals who always did a fast great job preparing…dont get me wrong the new owners are ok but just kind of took away from the way was run before ….food is still good thou…honestly his wife who wrks counter needs to do something else shes nice to talk to but she forgets and is kinda slow working there and argues sometimes with the husband in front of customers lololo the guys seem very kool thou they should hire someone younger thou not family to work the counter ….

Items served was not as described on menu, charged $1.00 for a glass of water, the had to describe to the cook how to prepare the meal, we thought we would give it a try with new ownership, but it sucked just as bad as before.

Went in yesterday and it was a total disaster. My food order was wrong and this isn’t the first time, then there was a big commotion where the cook totally disrespected the young woman that was helping me, totally unprofessional and disappointing if I’m being honest. The young lady was nice and sweet and you can tell she was upset with the way he talked to her . Disgusting how the owners allowed a grown man talk to a young lady like that.

We do not order at cows tail often but when we do there is always a problem. Small portions, food not ready for pick up and a messed up order of what you requested. I will never go back!

Ordered food twice now for take out they messed up food order simple food Italian all the way got meat only then they told me my next sandwich was free so I ordered takeout two weeks later and asked about my free sandwich and they didn’t know who I was but anyways I ordered calamari which was good. I ordered ziti and meatballs. Meatballs are supposed to be four. I only got two. I also ordered pastrami sandwich with onion pickle and Swiss cheese and mustard. I got an olive sandwich and then I ordered seafood soup and I got clam chowder my New I live 20 minutes away from the establishment and they said well we can fix it but you gotta come back nice place but the food and the quality is not there. It was never there even with the prior owner Don’t think this place will last long, especially with their food service and changing all their cooks as the waitress told me today for the second time in three weeks all we changed our cooks. The food is not consistent.

I was hosting 25 people for Mother’s Day and Cow’s Tail was the perfect choice to cater! This is the second time we have ordered from them to cater an event and they never disappoint. The prices are reasonable, the service is friendly and helpful, there is plenty of food and everything is delicious. Many guests raved about the chicken marsala and the chicken tenders asking where they came from. I’m very fortunate to have Cow’s Tail so close and would never hesitate to order from them in the future.
