I like BBQ and I never thought it was good. Some flavor profile in their wood really turned me off. I also thought their sides were very bland.

My goodness, the barbeque here hits the spot. We stopped in before closing and only the brisket was left. You know it’s good BBQ when they sell out. We got the plate, with sides of collards, Mac n cheese, green beans, and fries. Huge generous portions, we couldn’t even finish it. The brisket was extra tender, soft and flavorful with plenty of burnt portions for that explosion of BBQ goodness. Sides took it to the next level. Get the collards and Mac n cheese, those were the best. The owner works super hard and does an amazing job. Prices are absolutely reasonable and great value. Love to support this place, will definitely be back!

My god. Was on the way to an Indian restaurant and when we saw the smoke – it called to us.

Sweetest store owners this side of the Mississippi. The brisket. Holy mother of jesus. Succulent, mouth watering heap of flavor. Bbq sauce slaps like yo’ momma. Cornbread that will curl your toes.

Potato salad and baked beans hit too. Its a small spot, mom n’ pop. Show em’ some love. This place is soooo good.

My dad and I stopped by while on a road trip. It was worth it. A very interesting and unique style like I’ve never had before. I got the Brisket sandwich, it was supper moist, the crust was excellent. My side was the Mac and Cheese. Totally unique flavor, made it very good.

My dad judge’s BBQ joints based on the pulled pork. Sad travels alot and has eating his fair share of pulled pork for 50+ years. “Best damn pulled pork, I’ve had in a long time!” Was his reaction.

We met the owner Tim, supper chill and just a down right solid dude. Service was slow due to he was all by himself when we stopped. Non-issue, the food was damn good.

What do you do when you’re driving down the road and get hit with the sweet, sweet smell of high-quality barbecue? What do you do when you see the smoke billowing from a well seasoned smoker? You pull over immediately and get busy, and this place did not disappoint! The staff was super nice, and the owner personally brought our food and hit us with a little history of the place. SUPPORT THIS LOCAL BUSINESS! I will definitely be stopping back in when in town!

I don’t like writing negative reviews but this one is warranted. First, I’ll tell you what was good. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the collard greens were good. Also, the portions are huge. Now the bad. First issue was I ordered a meal, asked for coleslaw and got what I believe was potato salad. Next, I ordered a pulled chicken sandwich. What I got was neither pulled or a sandwich. The chicken was chopped and contains what seemed like fajita mix. It was pepper and onion strips. I’ve never seen that in a BBQ place in my life. The sandwich was open face I suppose? It was just chicken piled onto a piece of toast. I also found a large piece of bone in the chicken. For sauce, I received one very small container which wasn’t nearly enough for the chicken. Finally, the place is in a weird spot which isn’t easy to get in and out of. I hope they fix some things because this place needs some work.

Fantastic! The best BBQ I’ve had in WV. I tried the pulled pork with baked beans and coleslaw. The pork was tender, juicy and smoked to perfection. The beans were amazing, maybe my favorite ever. The coleslaw was just okay, but complimented the pork nicely. I can’t wait to go back and try the brisket and the ribs. I hear you need to stop in early as they sell out. Truly a Morgantown treasure!

Customer service was top-notch. Food came out fast and was super fresh. Ribs were tender and chicken was juicy and packed with flavor. But the best part of the food was those sweet potato fries! Best I’ve ever had 🙂 There was fantastic outdoor seating and my puppy got to enjoy lunch with me. If you want a good meal that was made with care, go here!!

Went here a lot over the past few years. Used to be great. Flavor still is. (how can you make smoked meats taste bad though?) Quality is subpar. It’s a bummer because for years this was our go to bbq place.

The past three times we ordered here the bbq has been shredded scrap leftovers. Mostly fat cap, chunks of lopped off bone, In a brisket order??

This last time we ordered a brisket meal and a half chicken.
There was not a single slice of brisket and the brisket that was there was all shredded with hard fat and predominantly chunks of the cap.

The 1/2 chicken we also ordered was shredded INTO the brisket with all sorts of small bone fragments, tendon and slimy skin.
Then bbq sauce slapped over the top to hide it all.

Who mixes two separate protein orders together for two different plates in the same container??

Good news is my dogs had a great dinner and seemed to enjoy it.
