A bit expensive though
What I find annoying about this is that this location knows me by name and knows my order. They should have enough critical thinking skills to go “you know this dude has ordered the same sandwich for half a decade, or more, and considering we write notes to him for on a lot of his orders… maybe we should correct this before we send it to him?”
Instead that doesn’t happen and I’m out the money for a sandwich I’m certain this location knows I’m not gonna eat. Oh and it now costs nearly twice as much cause they swapped to Uber for delivery. There’s no more “Freaky Fast” delivery from Jimmy John’s due to this and these days it can take upwards to an hour or more to get an order from them due to this switch.
If you’re gonna open the app and order from Jimmy John’s, don’t. If you’re gonna go out and get Jimmy John’s, also don’t. At that point go to a local sandwich place that sells a better sandwich for the same price.
Jimmy John’s whole selling point was that it was cheaper and fast. Now it is neither of those things and about 20% of the time the app will go rogue and order something different for you. Meaning 20% of the time you’re just as well off just throwing your money directly into the trash rather than ordering from Jimmy Johns.
Maybe it will change when you receive what you’ve actually ordered and it’s not soggy that the wrapper and the bag has juices leaking everywhere. Picture doesn’t do great justice but the bread is a whole different kind of mush. Water logged bread to be exact. It’s still water logged at the moment. Had to deconstruct the sandwich to eat it. What happened Jimmy Johns?
And Jimmy Johns before you hit me with a generic (that you reply to every customer with):
“We’re very sorry for your experience. Please send us the details on what happened here: http://bit.ly/JJsFeedback”.
I already have. Waiting to see if a real person will reach out to us real customers.
We placed an order online to be delivered. Just to receive a call 10 minutes later that they have no driver.
Delivery is their entire identity, how can they not have a driver?
But for $25 more than our $40 order (2 sandwiches) they could use a 3rd party to deliver it…
