I’ll try everything twice. If The first time is a fail, you never know why. This was the second time we had new chopsticks. The first time we ordered general tsos and sweet and sour chicken and it was the same breaded chicken.. however, could of been an off kinda day. We all have them. This time it was chicken lowmein and sezchuan chicken. The portions were generous and the food was hot. Kids weren’t thrilled with their low mein but thats because the veggies were large chunks. Ha.They loved their egg rolls. The chicken was traditional! Peppercorns and all. The tantalizing citrus twang isn’t what you normally get when you order sezchuan chicken in America, yet it’s exactly how it should be made. It was cooked perfectly and I was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is that my sauce was very oily. Give it a try if you want traditional chinese, not Americanized dishes. And keep in mind how hard the restaurant business is these days. I tasted the passion, hopefully you will too.

This is a classic Chinese food restaurant. The music is 1970s, the cook/owner comes out of the kitchen to yell at the teenagers doing homework in the corner table, the placemats are the Chinese zodiac calendar, etc.
Meanwhile, they are doing a robust takeout business which I thought was very telling. The food is good!
We started with egg drop soup and egg rolls. Both were great and very hot.
I had Kung Pao shrimp. The spice was perfect, and the shrimp were large and cooked perfectly.
My wife had Szechuan Chicken. Again, very good, and the chicken was good quality breast meat. She’s pretty sensitive to gristle and there was none. The fried rice was half hearted.
Total with my wife drinking a beer and me a Diet Coke was $33 which I thought was reasonable.
If you are in the mood for classic Chinese food, this place will not disappoint!

Don’t get the Crab Rangoon. You’ll pay $6 for 4 empty Wontons. Needless to say, I’m mad.
I am fairly positive that they’re not made in House either, because when I talked to the owner, she said they absolutely can not change anything about the recipe. They couldn’t add more filling if they tried.
Obviously. Because they’re frozen and shipped in.

One of the least flavorful Chinese restaurants I’ve ever had. I ordered Crab Rangoons, Egg Drop Soup, Twice Cooked Pork w/fried rice. The rangoon filling tasted like straight cream cheese, no crab flavor at all. Not to mention the rangoons I received were less than half filled (see pictures). The egg drop soup was the best part of the meal, it was served barely warmed without fried noodles. The sauce on the Twice Cooked Pork was extra salty and over powered the any flavor from the rest of the dish. The so called fried rice was nothing more than white rice mixed with bits of chopped fried egg (see pics). Giving 2 stars because I can say I’ve had worse in other locations but this was a definite disappointment!

3.5 ⭐️…definitely cure my taste for Chinese food tonight, very flavorful with both dish. Kung Pao Triple Delight & Beef Scallops. I normally order Kung Pao only no matter where I go for Chinese but tonight I want more. I want to see if it’s ever going to compare or beat Imperial House in Mukownago, WI…Sorry Chopsticks…no comparison, BUT that just me. I prefer the flavor at IH. Believe it or not there’re lots of flavor as I found out…it’s NOT like a Big Mac that U would order at McD’s. The Beef Scallops could use a little more scallop. Other than that…I thought both dishes were delicious and satisfied my funky mood for tonight.

When you’re the only Chinese place in a small town I guess you can be mediocre and nickel and dime customers…. Won’t be returning gave the place a second shot and it was worse than the first time.

The service was slow but the food came out quick. The beef sticks tasted like old beef. Three of use ate and all 3 agreed the food was terrible. Worst Chinese food ever. Would not recommend, zero stars.
