Tommy’s is a great place to eat. The food is always fresh and delicious, especially the tacos. The waiters do a terrific job and the service is always friendly and welcoming.
A big reason everything runs so well is the manager, Exiva. She does an amazing job leading the team and making sure both the employees and customers are taken care of.
Great food, great service, and great leadership. Tommy’s definitely deserves five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time at this location. The service was great, as was the atmosphere. Filled in the morning with a couple of groups of older men laughing and joking with each other. The tacos were good. The flour tortillas are extra “light”…I liked them, just not sure how much. The barbacoa a la Mexicana was new to me, at least seeing it on a menu. It was flavorful, but I might’ve enjoyed a regular one more. The chorizo was great, but the bean and cheese w bacon could’ve used more bacon and MELTED cheese, and beans? Maybe the tortillas are just too big? I had to roll them like burritos vs the usual “V” hold… THE SALSA ROCKS! The verdict is still out on the tacos…. Gotta give another location a shot to make a final judgment.

Word of mouth is this Tommy’s on Wurzbach Pkwy is the go-to. My wife and I came to see and taste for ourselves. We were seated quick. Our server was nice (all the servers) we knew who our server was but all of them were very attentive to us and everyone we noticed. The music was at a good volume and the jams, a great mood! The manager very attentive and welcomed us very nice and warmly. The coffee is an absolute hug in a mug, and the freshly squeezed lemonade had me asking for seconds! A comfortable small space for a big delicious bite. Overall the cleanest Tommy’s (we recommend what we call a “Tommy’s Tour”-we have been to all of them) Saving the best for last hands down great food here a big shout out to the heart of the restaurant THE KITCHEN STAFF !!

This place did not look like much from the outside and my first thoughts were, it is a small place. Once inside I was greeted by the hostess and she let us know it was open seating. My waitress Ana C. quickly asked what I wanted to drink (coffee) and once she was back with the coffee she then took my order. I ordered Huevos rancheros, beans, potatoes, and flour tortillas. My plate arrived in short time. Everything on my plate was prepared perfectly and was super delicious. My waitress was excellent. Ana was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable on other items on the menu which she helped me out with. I very much enjoyed the service here and the excellent food. Place was clean and well lit. Small place with big flavors. Will definitely be back again!

Tommy’s is hands down one of the best spots for Tex-Mex in San Antonio!
If you come to Tommy’s, don’t leave without trying the enchilada combo with carne guisada, Ari personally recommended it to us, and it was absolutely delicious! Thanks to her, our experience was even more special. Highly recommend this place!

So I like Tommy’s enough, it’s not my favorite but I go occasionally. The annoying part is paying for goods I don’t receive. I regularly get potato & egg tacos and then potato, egg, & bacon tacos in the same order and Tommy’s can’t seem to ever provide bacon. I wish the people making our orders would pay closer attention to what is being ordered so I could quit being annoyed when I get home. I don’t want to have to open every single taco before leaving your establishment.
