We went there on Saturday, it’s wasn’t busy. Most people order out the family meals. The food was delicious; the breading isn’t extra crispy, but the seasoning is terrific. I ordered the Jumbo Tenders; most chicken places have tenders where the meat is tiny with a bunch breading. Not this place, the tenders were huge!! The food is made fresh, not sitting under a hot lamp. There is wait for your food though.

If you’re ever in Clinton Township please avoid this place! I placed an order waited 20minutes just to go inside for them to tell me they lost my ticket! Then after searching for it they finally find it and had to make the order fresh so I had to wait another 15minutes then I get the food and started eating a few bites then open it up n move my bread off to the food then noticed MOLD has been covering it sitting on top! Disgusting!!!!!

The Captain Jay’s on Hall Rd. is the truth…Every time I visit this place it’s the same consistency with the cooking and chicken..The chicken tenders be cooked right and not dried out..Always fresh grease too…The Captain Jay’s in Roseville In front of Macomb Mall is garbage. Don’t even waste your time or money going there..take that extra drive up to Hall Rd. because you’ll be glad you did. The service is always fast to. That Captain Jay in Roseville is always short cutting the food on taste and size (see pic below). The left side is Roseville and the right side is Hall Rd…so you tell me yourself.

The chicken looked over cooked and old. Still had feathers on the chicken and bruised marks. If I had the time I would take it back. It’s the only fried chicken place in a 10 mile radius. You should shut down or get your stuff together.

Was in the Hall Rd location today and Phil was by himself and was very professional and worked very hard to take orders, cook and package our orders while keeping the restaurant clean with a smile. Customer service seems to be a thing of the past most recently, but Phil did not disappoint after a long day at work and supporting my friend’s at her husband’s funeral. Stellar job Phil.

On 9/4. I ordered 5 pc wings only which should have cost me $8 plus taxes. I was charged $49.23 by a new employee. I wasn’t upset because the kids was so sweet and he was visibly upset that he had over charged my debit card. A young lady walked up and asked the kid did he need help and he explained what happened. I wasn’t upset and they told me they can’t void transactions without the owner she then proceeded to call the owner. He apologized and stated he would give me the wings for free and he would call his bank and have the charge reversed. The only proof I had of this incident was a photo of the receipt in which the young lady wrote “void” on it. I wait 8 business days and never received my refund. I had to call my bank and dispute the charge. I’ve had other bad experiences at this location such as super long wait times. (45 mins for a shrimp and fries combo). I have learned my lessons and will never go to this location ever again.
