A few weeks ago, our family dined at this sushi restaurant and we were very satisfied: the food was tasty, portions were large (we even took some home), prices were reasonable, and we left with a great impression.
Today we decided to order takeout to enjoy a cozy family evening at home. We ordered 5 rolls for four people (2 adults and 2 children), and unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed.
First, the order came with only 5 very small packets of soy sauce, each just 6 ml. That is only a few drops per roll and completely insufficient for such an order, so I actually had to go to the nearest store to buy soy sauce.
Second, the quality of the rolls was very different from what we experienced when dining in:
• The shrimp roll had almost no shrimp inside — mostly batter.
• The rolls were very small in size and thickness.
• One of the rolls had a very strong bitter taste, similar to burnt fish. The kids immediately spat it out, and we did not even try to finish it — it went straight to the trash.
It feels like one team prepares food for dine-in customers, and a completely different team prepares takeout orders. This is very disappointing, especially after such a positive first visit.
Unfortunately, after this experience, we do not plan to return.

The restaurant is large and spacious, with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating overlooking the bar area, sushi area, and open kitchen. Once greeted by the hostess, I was quickly taken to my seat at an available table. After browsing the menu, I placed my order for a cup of hot green tea and wonton soup.
The wonton soup was truly enjoyable, consisting of tender chicken pieces, tasty chicken dumplings, bean sprouts, and scallions, all in a rich, flavorful broth. The green tea was hot and soothing. I had no intention of drinking, but I decided to order a lychee martini just because I felt like it. I could smell the aroma of the lychee fruit as the drink was placed in front of me. The drink was sweet and had a strong taste of vodka, but it was delicious nonetheless.
While sipping on my drink, I awaited my order of Naruto Maki cucumber wrap. Fresh imitation krab and avocado wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber provided a refreshing crispness that was quite enjoyable. The cucumber wrap was served on a bed of salad with a side of sweet miso sauce for dipping.
Well, that does it for me; I am full. Food was freshly prepared and was delightful, drinks was tasty, and service was satisfactory. The prices are moderate, but are worth it for the quality and quantity provided. I am looking forward to coming back to try other dishes.

This is a good spot for happy hour. They have a nice bar with a breeze. The sushi bomb is what we always order and it tastes delicious! Brian at the bar is very friendly. It’s easy to get in and out of this shopping center – there’s plenty of parking. We will definitely come back.

My wife and I tried today. We live so close and have no idea why we never went before. Well that will change as maybe out new favorite place. We took suggestion of another reviewer and sat at sushi bar. The owner is Yozo and the chef. He takes great pride in his work. He imports his fish from Japan. We asked him to make us something he thinks we would like which he gladly did. It was wonderful and maybe the best sushi I ever had.

Second time at Zen Sushi for my wife and I. Both times at Zen have been great. The ambiance, music, interior decor and outdoor seating are just right. The entire staff is well rounded. The hostess was polite and accommodating, our server was very knowledgeable with all the selections and the bartender makes amazing cocktails. What I like most is consistency and professionalism, and this restaurant and staff have it. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. The food is amazing and the drinks are just right. We’ll be back. Thank you Zen!

Our first time here and it surely exceeded our expectations. The outdoor bar seating area had a nice vibe and ambience especially on cooler evenings. We also had the best service from the bartender on duty; wish I could have remembered his name.
Had to say the dumpling was amazing. Everything else we ordered was also tasty.
As an Asian, I would truly recommend giving this place a try!!

Review: I had a wonderful dining experience at Zen Sushi! The service was top-notch; the waiter was exceptionally helpful, recommending the Diamyo Roll and Red Dragon Roll. Both selections were absolutely delicious, offering a perfect blend of flavors that left me thoroughly impressed. I also tried the Miso Soup; while tasty, it was a bit too watered down for my preference and could have used a bit more salt. Nonetheless, the overall experience was delightful, and the quality of the sushi rolls more than made up for the soup. I’m genuinely happy with my visit and look forward to returning to Zen Sushi soon!
