I feel guilty for not trying here before now. The service was great & the food was way beyond expectations. The whole restaurant is very clean. We had the Spinach Artichoke dip, Chicken Parmesan and Pepperoni Pasta. Everything was fresh. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Very nice home town mom n pop atmosphere. The food was excellent and the small deck provided a country feel. We loved our server, Dana, she was fun, sweet and her smile was contagious. She served us well and we wish we had more reasons to frequent this delightful place.

The food was delicious, really far better than I expected for the location. The services was slow, but not for lack of effort. Our server was lovely and everyone was moving efficiently. If you have a little time to kill get yourself to dinner at Skyvue. They have the best chicken quesadilla I’ve ever had! My 13 yr old had the chicken pepperoni pasta, excellent. My husband had the Mediterranean seafood pasta, cleaned his plate! I had the honey glazed salmon, wonderful! If we had been in a hurry the kitchen speed would have been an issue, and my reason for only four stars. The food was well worth the wait and the price.

This is one of Pittsburghs greatest hidden gems! While it does take a bit longer to get your food it is well worth the wait. The service is top notch and servers are very upbeat and friendly. The place is very clean and everything looks brand new inside. Lots of off street parking. Noise level is very low. Prices are really fair. Great place to bring someone you want to talk and catch up with. Really great food!

Good food, great service. My party of 17 people was accomodated with short notice and without a hitch. The food took a while to come out, but was filling and definitely worth the money I paid.
The restaurant was busy and seemed understaffed. The waitresses looked and acted like they weren’t having a good night, and I don’t blame them: our party was noisy and could have been more courteous with the staff. My only issue was that our drinks could have been better tended to, which was more the fault of our party’s for being so large (and occasionally rude, to which the staff responded to patiently and spectacularly.)
Being from Omaha, Nebraska, I was looking for a good time at a local place, where I could go with my friends and have a taste of Pittsburgh. Skyvue lives up to this reputation, and if I ever come back, I know where to go. 🙂

It’s really too bad because this place could be very nostalgic. We waited for 2 hrs to get our food and not to mention they didn’t have half the food on the menu. Since they lost their liquor license they are charging alcoholic drinks as lemonade. They classless manager could not help with anything. Not impressed with her 6″ platform combat boots and rat fur pull over. Watch your bill. They accepted 20.00 cash at bar then tried to charge the table. Also said there would be an upcharge for soup with my dinner got charged full price and that was the soup on special. Still over charged. The manger could not comprehend and blamed the computer system along with the change of the menu.

Food and Service were great! Just one little note. I ordered the mashed potatoes with my dinner and they came with a ton of melted cheese. I am not sure what kind, but I sent them back. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. My server was courteous and the food was very good.

I have worked at the Allegheny County airport for 2 years now and I have only been here once. I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is fantastic. The service was a little slow, but I did not mind terribly as I was with great company. I’m not sure how “Hit or miss” this place is, however i intend to visit again and see how the experiences compare.

Awful overall experience, but tasty food.
Met some family for dinner who already had a table. They had been waiting an hour before they got food. We waited for 45 minutes for our food. Ordered the nachos for an appetizer, but it was terrible. Completely drenched in cheese which made the nachos soggy, so we made them take it back. (Think bowling alley nachos but worse) Wedding soup was too salty and had no pastini. Got my order wrong and had to send it back because it wasn’t hot. Worst part of the night was the fact that the manager refused to come to our table and at least apologize for the food taking so long. We requested that she come over so we could voice our complaints directly to her, but she just kept sending our waitress.
The waitress was very nice and did her best. Felt bad for her because she said it was her second day.
We will never be going back and would highly recommend going somewhere else.

I have been dining at the Skyvue for longer than I can remember. It is an excellent, locally owned and kind of restaurant that you don’t find anymore. I had the Mediterranean Pasta. Very good and priced right. Service was good even though there was only one server working. If you have not been there recently, you owe it to yourself to stop there.
