My visit to Bikanervala in Schaumburg was nothing short of a delightful journey back to the vibrant streets of India — from the moment I stepped in, the aromas and flavors transported me straight there. I started with chole bhature, and it was an absolute standout: the bhature were pillowy and perfectly fried, and the spicy chickpea curry had that familiar bold seasoning that reminded me of home. The raj kachori was another highlight — a crisp, hollow shell generously filled with tangy chutneys, creamy yogurt, potatoes, and chickpeas, delivering a burst of textures and tastes in every bite. I also indulged in sev puri, where the contrast of crunchy puris, fresh toppings, zesty chutneys, and sev made for an addictive street-food experience. The paneer pakoda was golden and light, with soft, juicy paneer inside and a delicately spiced batter outside. To wash it all down, I enjoyed a refreshing shikanji alongside a soda lime water — both drinks were bright, cooling, and balanced perfectly with the rich and spicy snacks.

No Indian feast felt complete without sweets, and the dessert counter did not disappoint. The balushahi was decadently flaky with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, while the gujiya offered a rich, nutty filling encased in a crisp shell — each bite reminded me of festive treats back in India. The overall experience at Bikanervala was vibrant and flavorful, capturing authentic Indian street food and sweets with remarkable fidelity to the real thing. Highly recommended for anyone craving a true taste of India in Schaumburg!

Tried out this new restaurant. The food was mostly good except one or two items that I ordered. The vibe and decor was attractive, but the space was not tidy. Need more focus on cleanliness overall. Ordered the following items and the ratings:
1) Deluxe Veg Thaali: 3.5/5
– Shahi Paneer was a disappointment. Mix vegetarian curry and dal makhni were good. Naan and Roti was soft.
2) Dahipuri: 3/5
– Have had better taste elsewhere
3) Dal Makhni and Jeera Rice: 3.5/5
– Taste was okay. Not authentic.
4) Chhole Bhature: 4.5/5
– Almost perfect

The food was authentic and flavorful and the orders came out quickly after placing them! Our favorite was chalo bhatura which is the puffy naan picture and the Papri chat. It was the perfect combo of sweet and savory! The orange curry is Malai Kofta, it paired perfect with rice! It was great light curry! The bathrooms were very clean but overall restaurant can get quite busy and tight to move around. They have a dessert bar as well and we tried 3 kinds of barfi which turned out great and they give you a reusable bag for take away! Definitely come here if you’re craving Indian food!! They also have the best mango lassi!! I also believe this is all vegetarian restaurant. They didn’t feature chicken on the menu, only a burger.

BEST Indian Chaat place in town. Bikanervala recently opened in Schaumburg and I’ve been there three times already. It’s such a nicely done restaurant with so many great options to choose from. It is completely vegetarian and I’ve loved everything I tried so far. There is plenty of seating , you get seated fast. The food arrives quickly. The food is super delicious. Their sweet selection is also amazing. They have a lot of variety. I will definitely be back again. This is my go to spot now..
The things I’ve tried so far are Raj Kachori, Dahi Puri, Pav Bhaji, Thali, Aloo Sabzi with Puri, Aloo Paratha, samosa chaat, masala thumbs up, and sweets. 10/10

First time visiting this newly opened Schaumburg location with friends to celebrate my birthday. As a very picky chaat lover, I had high expectations—and I’m happy to say I was not disappointed. The food was excellent in both taste and quality. The service was equally impressive; our server, Nazish, was attentive, patient, and offered great recommendations without rushing us. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be planning another visit soon.

Very impressed with bhatura and chole, reminded of delhi roadside.
Except momos, all items were fresh, tasty and more importantly authentic like how you feel in India.

Food was great overall ! We had Raj Kachori, Chole Bhature, Pani Puri and Paneer Tikka. We ordered Pani Puri with Suji Puri for $1 extra but the Puris were very thick and would not recommend.
The lady on the Sweet counter was very rude and she acted like she owned the place mentioning prices as if we cannot afford. She is a server and she should act that way. Service overall is sub par here but will recommend the food.

We had a great experience here! The place was packed, so if you’re visiting during peak weekend hours, be prepared for a short wait. Service was quick, and the ambience was bright and energetic.
We ordered paneer paratha with gravy, chole bhature, raj kachori, and veg momos. Everything tasted amazing, but the chole bhature was definitely the star of the show.
If they continue to maintain this level of taste and service, this spot is sure to become one of the go-to destinations in the Chicago suburbs.

We had a great experience here! We ordered Pav Bhaji, Chole bhature, Raj Kachori, Gulab jamun and Samosa Chaat, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The pav bhaji was perfectly spiced and buttery, the chole bhature was the star of the show. It had that authentic North Indian taste, a must try!!!! and the raj kachori was crisp with just the right balance of sweet and tangy flavors. The samosa chaat was nice.
The restaurant was clean, bright, and welcoming but the customer service needs to get better. It’s nice to have a place in Schaumburg that offers such a wide variety of vegetarian Indian food and sweets.
Definitely coming back to try more items from the menu! Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors.
