The food was very authentic. Coming from the Asia region, the food is as close as authentic that you will get! I was surprised by the quality of food and pricing was very good for the quality!
I got to say that Mandy our waiter was really accommodating and she even spoke my wife’s language so she can have an easy time speaking and ordering! The other staff also were so attentive I didn’t have to ask for anything they just came and offered.
I will come again for sure!!!

Bustling small restaurant with lots of seating. After seated, server asked if this was my first time dining here. I said yes!. They told me about the set menu choices and to order with the QR code. I got the noodle soup, appetizer and drink combo for $25.99. Food came out at a reasonable time and was quite delicious. Tea drink was sweet and refreshing. It’s a good option to dine here especially if you don’t have time to wait in the long line upstairs at Din Tai Fung.

I stoped by here when I went to south coast plaza mall, the food was good, the drink I order was milk boba , and it’s doesn’t taste good at all, it taste like a water and they don’t add no sugar, it was very blend. But the other food I ordered dumpling and the noodle is as pretty good, the service was friendly and very welcoming. The atmosphere is pretty good too, but just the boba milk is just not it.

Did you know you can try a $25 combo at a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant?? Located in South Coast Plaza, Mian is named after its bold, spicy, Sichuan noodles, without any of the usual stuffiness and outrageous price tag that’s associated with Michelin star restaurants. They actually have *really* affordable prices, like the Beef wrap for only $10 and $25 combos that’ll feed you like a king.
The combo was too good of a deal for me to pass up. I chose the spicy wontons as my app, spicy sparerib noodles, and any drink on their menu is included–plum juice forever–and they even got dessert covered with these brown sugar sticky rice cakes that you can add on.
Don’t pass up on this amazing deal in OC!
Thanks for reading! ^-^

I checked out Mian after seeing it posted on Heyla, and it definitely lived up to expectations. Mian offers a simple yet authentic take on Sichuan-style noodles, making it an easy go-to spot for young locals looking for real Chinese flavors without the fuss.
The noodles are perfectly cooked, with bold, savory sauces and just the right level of spice. You can really taste the authenticity in every bowl — rich, comforting, and packed with that signature Sichuan kick. The menu is straightforward, which makes ordering easy while still offering plenty of flavor.
The atmosphere is casual and modern, perfect for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends. Service is efficient and friendly, adding to the overall smooth experience.
Thanks to Heyla for putting Mian on my radar — it’s a great spot for authentic Chinese noodle dishes done right. I’ll definitely be coming back.

What was advertised vs what i paid for. No passionfruit seeds!!! No mango decorations to be seen! just wow!! No apologies or explanation or just FYI warning offered from the cashier. Made me sad. Also, I ordered it half sweet and it was so sugary I had to dump it into an empty container and dilute it with half a bottle of oolong tea. Avoid.

Mian relies on their Michelin heritage a little too much, the quality of the food is still there but is lacking in flavor compared to the food found in sichuan china. Its a good place if you want a quick bite but nothing really special in terms of flavor profiles or quality. However, I am a big fan of their fried potatoes, the flavor profiles them were just mind blowing, they were light and crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. The service is pretty minimal which i do appreciate but out water glasses were constantly empty and we had to ask many times to have refills. This is similar to service you would see in Europe or china.

This restaurant is located inside of South Coast Plaza Mall in Orange County, Costa Mesa, CA. Not sure if their Hapoy Hour changes but they normally offer 40% off on the noodle dishes from 2pm to 5pm Mon thru Fri. I ordered milk tea, fried dumplings, intestine noodle soup, Chinese donuts, maple tofu, cucumber, and spareribs. Small place, but clean. Order is being processed on the iPad as you placed your orders. You pay and they bring the foods to table for you. After that you can walk around the mall to digest the foods Lol

Really enjoyed the noodles and dumplings here. The right balance of noodle to meat to broth. All distinct flavorful. Not mushy at all.
The portions were good. Not too little, not too much that food was wasted.
We got medium spice for everything and it was fine. I saw a woman next to me sweating while eating— it made me very curious about the jump to “extra” spicy.
It’s also for expert level chopstick-age. Between the red sauces, the oil, the slipperiness of the dumplings, and the noodles, the danger of spraying everywhere, or worse yet, dropping something back into the sauce is very real. I’m pretty good but my shirt looked like a scene from Dexter. Luckily it was dark grey, but still.
You’ve. Been. Warned.
Would recommend strongly.

I love their chewy noodles. The beef soup is very favorable The chili oil dumplings tastes so good. Their appetizers are great compliments to their main dishes. You can choose the spiciness of each dish. Great restaurant! Will definitely come back to try other dishes.
