The time I was there tonight I didn’t know they haven’t been open long. We wait too long to be seated. The waitress was good. The wait for the food didn’t take long to be served. I was disappointed when I got my 4pc chicken tender meal with 2 sides. My friend got the shrimp and 2 side. His shrimp was bigger than the biggest tender I had. My plate was 16$ his plate was 28$. Pigeon tenders I reckon. They need some blinds to cover the front windows in the evening. The chicken was bland. My fries was amazing! His sweet potato was good for him. Baseball size tho. They were over priced for not so much. But they do good maybe need check new suppliers. Doing good. Overall. Nothing is perfect at the start. would give another shot later on.

First time trying this restaurant. I was very hesitant because we are picky about eating out.I can say we were very surprised at how good the food was.Tried the seafood platter and my husband got the ribeye steak.Everything was delicious!Waitress was great and the key lime cake was awesome. We will definitely be back.Only thing we didn’t like was the tea and water .Both had a kind funny taste to us. Definitely recommend!

Waited 30 minutes to sit. Not their fault, we had no reservations and didn’t mind the wait. Once seated, we were informed of a list of things they were out of (steaks, hamburgers). The inside was hotter than the outside and I had a fan blowing in my face the whole time we were seated-with the exception of when the waitress walked by and dirty napkins blew off the dirty plates she was carrying and landed all over me. Waited another hour for the food to come to the table (fried shrimp and catfish). Once it got to the table-I should say 3 out of 4 of the meals-we were told they were out of fries. Waited another 15 minutes for the catfish to arrive. Shrimp were freezer burned-maybe we were waiting for them to thaw out?? No one ate. The owner did come out and apologize. The waitress said she took 50% off the meal. We knew the price when we ordered but the whole experience still wasn’t worth $80. We drove over an hour to go… just disappointed.

We got the small shrimp basket, loved the shrimp and the hushpuppies they were delish and the helping was enough to fill you up. The fries weren’t my favorite, the batter was a little different, but that’s just me. We got the fried pickles for an appetizer and they were really good! The service was awesome! Our waitress was very attentive, couldn’t have asked for better service! The price was decent, you don’t mind paying for good food! Overall, I’d recommend and I know we will be back!

I tried this place while in town visiting family. It is like walking into your favorite relative’s kitchen – immediately warm, welcoming, and filled with the promise of a comforting meal. If you’re searching for a restaurant that truly embodies that “home” feeling, look no further.
The American comfort food here is exactly what you crave when you’re looking for a taste of nostalgia. I had the shrimp, and it was perfectly cooked – juicy, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. It reminded me of a classic, homemade dish, executed flawlessly.
Beyond the delicious food, it’s the friendly staff who truly complete the “home away from home” experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and attentive service. Every interaction felt less like a transaction and more like catching up with an old friend. They made sure every detail was taken care of, making the meal even more enjoyable.
This isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to feel nourished, not just by the food, but by the inviting atmosphere and the people who make it special. It’s the perfect spot for a southern dinner or a casual lunch when you need a comforting escape. I will be back next time I am in town.

Savy Jo’s absolutely deserves 5 stars! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff was warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home.
The food was amazing….fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every part of our visit was enjoyable, and it’s clear they care about both the quality of the food and the experience. Savy Jo’s is a must-visit, and we’ll definitely be back!

Our first time visit was not a good experience. Restaurant was totally crowded, hot interior, long waiting line and no adequate seating for those waiting. And, there was no order in line for those waiting. The food might be outstanding, but we didn’t stay to find out. Might try again some day.
