There are a lot of food trucks/taco shops nearby, but this one has an incredibly high rating on Google maps so I had to try it. The asada burrito was excellent. Tender asada with great flavor, and lots of meat inside. Very good hot sauce. Friendly and fast service.

The first place I have ran into a really long time for the food to taste worth every cent. Got tacos of asada, pollo and al pastor. Also tried the Gordita de papa con chorizo. Salsa tasted like salsa not mass produced or rushed, food was really well seasoned. As they were making the food you can smell the GREATNESS that they were cooking in the truck. Only thing I’m upset about is not trying their Aguas while I was there. Best food I’ve had in a while, worth every penny, and would recommend to anyone and everyone! Will be back. Best customer service I had talking to the lady, explained their history and did not like about the food being made with SAZON.

If you will be going through Bakersfield and you want to stop for lunch, Tona y Lauras Cocina is a must place to eat. I went by their 5*rating so we took a chance. Easy to miss, it’s a taco truck parked next to a car dealership. My husband ordered their chile verde plate, i ordered the Chile verde burrito and son Ordered carne asada tacos.
Area was very clean with an eating area, ladies were very sweet and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS Best chile verde we have had! Please try them and support a locally owned business only takes 15 minutes off the freeway, worth the drive! You won’t be sorry
