We found this place while traveling through Buffalo around 10 pm, and it was the only restaurant open until midnight. We ordered beef tehari, a chicken roast pulao combo for the kids, and beef karhai. The beef tehari was tasty and full of flavor, but the other dishes were very oily. The chicken roast did not taste like a traditional Bangladeshi roast, and the beef karhai lacked good flavor. The beef was also tough and hard to chew.
The atmosphere was nice, and the washroom was clean, which we really appreciate in a desi restaurant. However, the overall food quality and taste need a lot of improvement.

I am a regular customer. Today I ordered one kind of kabab. You can’t believe that any human can eat. Salty and burn. But service was good. Sorry to review this. Because don’t lose your good reputation. Thanks.

The food was absolutely delicious—top-tier. We ordered butter naan, butter chicken, chicken Jalfrezi, dhakai beef tehari, mixed biryani, shrimp biryani. I didn’t like the beef tehari too much, but everything else was perfect.

Taste of Bengal is a great spot if you’re looking for authentic Bengali and Asian food. The flavors are rich, the portions are solid, and everything tastes fresh and well-seasoned. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Definitely a go-to place if you want quality food and a good experience. Highly recommend!

Authentic Flavors and Warm Hospitality!
Taste of Bengal is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Bengali cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home.
The food is absolutely delicious—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The biryani is fragrant and perfectly spiced, and the shorshe ilish (hilsa in mustard sauce) was a standout dish that took me straight back to Dhaka. Their use of traditional spices and ingredients really sets them apart from other South Asian restaurants.
The service was also excellent—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Whether you’re new to Bengali food or grew up with it, there’s something here for everyone.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a taste of Bengal away from home!

Box of tehari is almost $17 dollars and me and friend were struggling to find any beef in our food. Almost $36 dollars with tax in the time of Ramadan you guys are absolutely horrible. If the food was even little tasty I would look the other way but I will tell all my friends not to even look at this horrible place.

Absolutely traumatizing! I went there for first time for family dinner. My brother found a huge piece of glass in his Haleem. Wanted to talk to the manager but he tried to convince me it’s very normal to find glasses in food. I was traumatized and speechless and went outside immediately.
Is this something I should report?

Very good Bangladeshi restaurant. The food is very good, especially the Haleem. The chicken Samosa, however, was average. The That chicken soup was also amazing. The polao with roast was also very good with the serving being plentiful. The waiter was also very cordial and really helpful.
Would visit again.

One of the few decent restaurants I’ve been to! Taste of Bengal, from the moment I stepped through did NOT disappoint one bit. From the setting to the food the whole experience was truly remarkable and left an everlasting impression on me. Personally I would go back if I were you!
