I grew up in minnesota city eating at roccos frequently. In the 25+ years of eating here I have never had a bad pizza or a negative experience. When I think of home, I think of roccos pizza. I called up there on Monday and was sad to find they were only open on Friday Saturday Sunday. Been looking forward to eating there all week. I hope the place is doing alright would be damn shame to see it go.

Worst customers service ever, we ordered a light cheese pepperoni pizza and we got a pizza with a pound of cheese on it. When we called to get it fixed they didn’t even bother to have it remade and send out a new one. They told us it was a light cheese pizza to their standards. She told us that next time we need to order extra extra light cheese, who does that. Then she hung up on us. I don’t recommend order from them with the customer service being as bad as this.

Thin crust pizza is a passion and Rocco’s is the best in the area! The toppings are plentiful with just the right amount of sauce. Sometimes I call for delivery, but I love the relaxed atmosphere of the NE location. To be fair I’ve not been to the midtown location, as this one is close to me. They have a game room, a large dining area with tables and booths, and bar seating. A large jukebox is available for music. Beer and a large assortment of beverages are all available to go with your pie. Or delicious garlic bread! The service is casual and friendly. If you remember and liked the old tv show “Cheers” , this is the place! While they won’t always “know your name”, they let you know “they’re always glad you came”.

Loading with cheese and toppings with a crunchy crust, Rocco’s serves one of the best pizza’s in town.

Usually Rocco’s is our treat when neither my wife or I feel like cooking, and they rarely disappoint. They have a crunchy, thinner crust that’s oddly satisfying to munch on. Then they load it with cheese and the toppings of your choice, hardly skimping on the volume of toppings. After cooking to perfection (never got a burnt or undercooked pie!) they cut the pizza into squares and keep it nice and hot (haven’t got a cold pizza, either) for when you get it.

If you get a pizza from them, I’d suggest going easy on the sauce and asking for extra cheese. Their default sauce level can cause your toppings to slide like my grandma walking in ice, and the extra cheese makes for a loaded pizza that you won’t be able to stop eating.

The only negative I can think of is that their pricing seems to vary depending on who takes your order.. Some days I can get two large pizzas with extra cheese for $30, other days I get charged $32 for a large and a medium. Not sure why the pricing seems to vary, but something to keep an eye on.
