My husband and I were looking for a Thai restaurant and this place really impressed us! Our Crispy Tofu appetizer with peanut sauce was absolutely delicious We ordered the Red Curry Pineapple Chicken and the flavors were amazing. Best sauces we have had at any Thai restaurant. Staff super attentive, good recommendations and friendly!

We haven’t visited Tom Yum in Peoria since they first opened a few years ago. I left a review then and it was good. But on our recent visit, it was even better. We ate like Kings.
My husband and I ordered four appetizers: potstickers, tiger salad, fresh rolls, and hot and sour soup. For the entree, pangang chicken and drunken noodles with all the meats. We topped it off with two Sing-Ha beers. ALL OF IT WAS FABULOUS! Very reasonable price and generous portions.
Don’t miss out on this wonderful little Thai restaurant!

Tom Yum in Peoria is an absolute hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their food.
Now let’s talk about the elephant in the room— the food. The Tom Yum soup is hands down okay at best. I’ve had better outside of Thailand. Perfectly balanced with heat, citrus, and that rich umami flavor that makes every spoonful awful. We also tried the Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice — all beautifully presented and bursting with flavor but tasted nasty.
What really sets this place apart is the freshness of the ingredients and the care that clearly goes into every dish. Whether you’re a spice lover or prefer milder dishes, there’s something on the menu for everyone.
If you’re in the Peoria area and craving authentic Thai cuisine, Tom Yum should be an option not necessarily your first choice.

My family and I have been here several times on different occasions. All visits were nearly the same experience in regards to service. This particular time was unfortunately the last straw for us after giving several opportunities for redemption. We ordered our beverages which were brought to us with no carbonation. When telling our waiter the response was “we know, our Co2 has been out all day”. Should this not be something told to patrons before ordering or post a sign? On top of this when we recieved our food (we ordered the drunken noodles with veggies) we were given a plate full of vegetables. There was barely a few noodles. We were not ONCE checked on during our meal and had to hunt down someone so we could get the check. It was a terrible experience and the food was below average. If you are looking for some amazing Thai food, try Sala Thai down the road. They will treat you well and the food is out of this world!

First time eating food from here today. We did not eat inside the restaurant, but it is very clean inside and the staff were very friendly. The green curry is phenomenal. The rice is very sticky, which is a great thing. We definitely will be back.

Just tried out this Thai spot! The crab Rangoon was definitely a highlight – crispy and flavorful. The sweet and sour was decent, but not the best I’ve had. Service was alright, and the prices are good. Overall, it’s a nice, quick place with a good atmosphere if you’re looking for a fast bite.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Tom Yum in Peoria. The meat in my dish tasted freezer burned and had a very bland, almost watered down flavor. It was tender in a way that felt more like it had been frozen too long rather than freshly prepared, which really took away from the meal. Overall, the food lacked the bold flavors you expect from Thai cuisine.
The pickup experience made things worse. When I arrived, I was told they were cash only. After explaining that I did not have any cash, they suddenly said I could use a card instead. That felt dishonest and unprofessional, especially since it came across as avoiding card fees rather than being upfront with customers. Between the poor food quality and the misleading payment situation, I would not return or recommend this place.

Very enjoyable food and experience. The staff here is attentive and the food was brought out surprisingly quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. All of the dishes we ordered, Red Curry, Green Curry, Mossaman Stewed Beef, and Chow Mein we’re all very tasty. The only downside comments were that they seem to temper the spice but that was easily resolved by asking for more that we could add on out own.

First time checking out this local spot, and was very impressed! Smells amazing when you walk in the door. A bit small inside with limited tables available, but cozy and comfortable seating. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken, and the flavor/spice was perfect. Veggies were cooked just like I like them – not too crisp but not mushy either, and the chicken was tender and juicy. Service was friendly and enjoyable. Will be back again for sure!!
