This place is a gem. It’s a hidden secret that deserves to not be hidden any longer. You can tell Chef Nina cares about the food she makes and you can taste the love in every bite. My husband and I came in on a Wednesday, with a recommendation from a friend and were completely blown away. Him and I felt like we were eating a home cooked meal. We will definitely be raving about it with our friends and family. The place is completely set up to be a vibe on a weekend and to be bustling every day.
Perfect date night spot, great ambiance, food is 12/10.

Outdoor seating was quaint and pleasant. Server was very attentive. Place was not very busy or crowded. Ordered the salmon with broccoli. Requested sauteed onions and bell peppers, and the chef did obliged. The presentation was amazing the taste was equally so. Would recommend

We had our staff Thanksgiving party here and it was a wonderful experience from the appetizers to main courses and desserts! We tried it all and it all was wonderful! We had hoped to meet Chef Niema as we booked in advance but unfortunately we missed out on that. Brittany was amazing though!

A nice and intimate Wednesday morning family dinning experience while visiting the area. We met Chef Niema and our daughters loved her personality dearly. Our food was very flavorful and portions were plenty. The grilled cheese not pictured was also delicious.
Lovely indoor and outdoor seating options, Would definitely recommend!

So much potential to be THE hot-spot of downtown Shreveport. Pumpkin could run that place with her eyes closed lol. Amazing service! Food was pretty great as well..I would not mind returning to try other options . I tried the Caribbean Egg Rolls & Salmon dinner. Super decent lol — I’ll try other options and revisit this. I’d like to see music of any kind be incorporated into the atmosphere, it would elevate the experience tremendously (indoors & patio). Whether it be local live talent or smooth jazz/r&b — music would take away the uncomfortable urge to whisper or eavesdrop lol! Otherwise, beautiful establishment, reasonable prices, and phenomenal staff…absolutely will be returning.

My SIL took me there this weekend and the food was outstanding! The duck nachos opened up a new pallet of flavor we hadn’t experienced before and we are foodies. The atmosphere was nice and the blueberry lemon drops were made perfectly. The gumbo was fantastic as well.
We will definitely be back to clear the menu.
My only critic would be to set the mood, play some background music. That was missing during our experience.
Side note- the Crème brûlée was great! My 2 cents- could you all try a green tea version with strawberries!

I have not stop raving about this place since I had lunch yesterday. It’s a flavor explosion in your mouth with each bite. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The outside view over downtown Shreveport was a vibe. Perfect balcony weather location for lunch or an early dinner. I can’t wait to go back for dinner. The Mama Mia & The Color Purple were our drinks of choice.

This was not my first time visiting here, but I will give you some insight. Overall, this place is a different experience from most dining joints. You have to pay for parking but I went with a friend at lower peak hours and found a spot not far from the entrance. When you walk in, you are greeted by the smell of fresh popcorn. The lower level offers 2 to 3 movies in a theater where you can watch a movie and order the restaurant ‘s food. I think that’s a great concept, but the movies are not blockbusters. They may be hidden jems depending on your taste in theater. If you are not there for the movies, you walk briefly to the elevator and go to the second floor to emerge at the restaurant. As the doors open, you wait for the hostesses to seat you. We were taken care of by Tiffany, who played a duel role at the time of also waiter, and she was awesome. We were quite famished at the time and ordered the nachos and chicken jerk egg rolls as appetizers along with two bowels of gumbo as entrées. Nachos with beef were exquisite and definitely a new sensation to the taste buds. Don’t expect a lot of cheese, but I appreciated a higher level of quality of chesse that you do not get the opportunity to consume daily. Please dont run away from the onions as they will give you a bite that sparkles. Trust me. The nachos were light and freshly prepared with a score of 8.9. Next up were the chicken jerk egg rolls. What a delight, I must say. Honestly, it’s not even that I thought about the mix of flavors, but more so, the buttery taste mixed with the accompanied dip was outstanding. It also was plated nicely. 9.1 score. Next up was the chicken and sausage gumbo. I personally loved the dark roux, but it might be an acquired taste for some as a darker rue tastes a tad bit more bitter. In the past, their gumbo came with buttered bread. This added to the previous experience, but we did not receive any today. I was okay with that, and I will not knock them for the lack of bread. Gumbo was awesome to me, but my friend is from down south Louisiana and prefers a lighter rue. That being said she finished the bowel. Gumbo score 8.8. The chef was in the building and checked on us to make sure we were having a great experience, which was awesome. My dining partner mentioned it was her birthday, and the chef insisted that she was given a complimentary small bottle of champagne, which made her day. On a side note, seating is available outside to look two stories over downtown while you dine.

Abby Singer’s Bistro is an absolute gem in downtown Shreveport! Located on the top floor of the Robinson Film Center, it offers a cozy atmosphere with a beautiful balcony view of Texas Street. The food is outstanding—favorites like the shrimp and grits, Mighty Duck Nachos, and chicken & waffles are packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The menu is creative and diverse, and you can tell the chefs put real passion into every dish.
The service is just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Whether you’re here for lunch, dinner, or a pre-movie bite, the experience is always smooth and enjoyable. Bonus points for their craft cocktails and happy hour specials!
If you’re looking for a spot that combines great food, excellent service, and a unique setting, Abby Singer’s Bistro is the place to be. Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike!
