The food is not worth the price. We ordered dumplings, soup, casado, and chop suey. The dumplings were okay. The soup barely had any vegetables vegan meat or tofu but the broth was okay. The casado and chop suey were terrible. Very little vegetables in the chopsuey and no flavor. Barely any rice (in a Taiwanese restaurant!) In the casado and fried eggplant was tastless. There are better restaurants skip this.

We came to this restaurant after seeing some really great reviews on Google so thought we would add our own to encourage more people! It is a very unassuming place from the outside however the food is great. We got the dumplings and noodle soup to share and the portions were huge, such great value for money. The service was fast and we even got a nice glass of line water included. Would definitely recommend for everyone, especially vegans in San Jose!

Delicious and cheap, and there’s a super nice lady in the store.

The place has a different name on the wall, so don’t miss the small door. The food is very affordable. It was a pleasure to find vegan food at a very reasonable price. I went for lunch on a Saturday, and they had only one option: “Plato del dia,” which had an assortment of dishes. The owners are very friendly.

Vegan chop suey and vegan dumplings were fresh and delightful! And the prices were very reasonable not trying to gauge you. It’s a bit hard to find because it’s a small restaurant with only a few tables but worth the effort to go around the block for. Buen provecho

Soda Vegetariana SUSBIDA was the first place we ate after arriving in San Jose. It was conveniently located near a large park, and it was also close to the hostel where we spent the night. It was easy to find and was an enjoyable mix of Oriental and Vegetarian / Vegan.
A friendly local helped us order his fave plates and we enjoyed EVERY single things we asked for.
At the end of our vegan feast we were also delighted at the affordability!
We only spent 1 night and 1 day in San Jose, but if we ever get the chance to return, we would be sooooo happy.
We enjoyed a friend rice with vegetables, dumplings and more.
This place is WORTH the visit.
Delicioso!!!

We had the delight of eating at this tiny gem today. The two of us split the dumplings and chow mein. It was delicious, and more than enough food for lunch. An order of dumplings was 15 pieces, which is crazy as in Canada a usual order of dumplings is like 5 or 6 pieces.
The service was good and the food came out fast. It is a little hard to see this place from the road as it’s so tiny, but it’s there!
Highly recommend.
