A neighborhood bar located by Wrigley’s field. We didn’t eat here, but the food looked good. We stopped in for a few drinks before and after a game. Seemed to be a steady crowd before the game and after the game it was packed. Prices for drinks are average for the area. The bartender was quick and polite.

Probably my favorite dive bar style grill in Wrigleyville. The food is good and the drinks are even better. What I like the most about going there is the live music after Cubs games. The front door style windows open fully on a nice day and when you add a live artist playing acoustic guitar, it really brings out the vibe of the bar. The staff is super friendly and don’t forget to bring some singles so you can hang them on the wall!

Merkle’s is one of the best hidden gems in Wrigleyville. While a lot of bars in the area feel loud and commercial, Merkel’s has this laid-back, small-town vibe the second you walk in. Friendly crowd, great service, and easily some of the best bar comfort food in Chicago.
And the cheese curds? Next level. Light, fluffy, perfectly crisp—exactly the kind you end up telling everyone about.

The food here was delicious and came in generous portions. They played great music during trivia night, which usually takes place every Friday at 8 PM unless there’s a game at Wrigley, in which case it may be canceled. Trivia nights can get busy, but it was pretty chill on this particular evening. They offer a variety of categories, making it a fun experience overall.

Always a favorite stop when in Wrigleyville. Food portions are large and fairly priced. Beer is always cold. Service was prompt and friendly. While I appreciate and love the dive/neighborhood bar feel – at some point, they really should fix the tables that are on permanent wobble and have you chasing your drink half the time while you are sitting there, lol! Iconic stop and glad it is still hanging in there with all of the competition around it!

Very nice place to be. Adam, the bartender was very nice and friendly! He welcomed me very nicely and I am glad I swing by the bar tonight. I’ll come back for sure! Atmosphere is really nice and the music is great !
