People were nice and the place was clean. They have a board and paper menu available. Large seating area and a fountain drink machine and condiments table. They had a special posted on a white board, but even though we qualified for and were told we would get, we weren’t given. The food looked good. My husband enjoyed his fried dumplings, but stated the General Tso wasn’t flavorful. I ordered teriyaki chicken and shirmp with the dollar extra fried rice instead of white. The shirmp were extra small in size. I tried pouring dumpling sauce and soy sauce and sweet sour sauce on my food give it flavor. It was eatible and filled a empty spot. Food was just okay in my opinion.

Ordered Chicken & Beef teriyaki(11.49) + Chicken & Shrimp teriyaki (11.49) Comes with meats, plain rice (fried is a dollar more), and misc veggies.
No drink included (Two large drinks is $5.58)
Total was $31.42 for two people (two meals and two large drinks.)
As for the taste, it’s about midway. Not a lot of flavor from the white rice or the meats (Chicken+ Beef), veggies had no notable flavors either.
Reportedly from my peer, the shrimp had more flavor to it.
For what it’s worth, with Umi right nearby? You’re better off getting hibachi from there. However, for something you can take home? It’s alright — just grab some sauces to add flavor, or a salt shaker.
Very empty building with very small seating area, not a lot of options.
Try somewhere else if you’re looking for a yummy meal, but it’s decent in a pinch.
Friendly staff, okay food, quick output, high prices. 3/5.

For being a new restaurant in this town the tables were not level. Spilled my drink all over. Portions were good sized. The meats in the fried rice had no seasonings, pretty bland.. Nice and quiet. Burned egg roll.
After showing staff egg roll being burned they replaced it with no hesitation. Under right circumstances, I would return.

The food is pretty good for quick service Japanese food. The servings are generous. I was able to make the bento box into 2 meals easily, so it’s affordable. The meat was seasoned well and cooked well. I liked the ginger dressing also!

We ordered binto boxes. The kitchen mixed our orders, and the counter girl/server apologized but didn’t do anything.
Food was good quality and filling portions. I was surprised to be served dining in with plastic disposable tray at that price point.

We were first apprehensive based off the reviews but we came here on a whim because we needed dinner and didn’t have an appetite for typical options.
I am so glad we took the chance because our meal was so great. I had beef and broccoli with fried rice , my husband had General Taos with fried rice, and my son got plain noodles and everything was fresh and flavorful and large portions. We also were provided free egg rolls after you order over a certain amount. We usually dine mostly in Starkville and the Chinese offerings are few and this blew any Chinese we’ve had out since moving to the area of the water. The Chinese buffet in Starkville Costa just as much as doesn’t stand a chance. The noodles were as good if not better than those we had when we lived in California.
More than that the sweet lady at the front who cared for my son providing his noodles first, turning up the AC because it was cold, and playing peekaboo with him when he got fussy as we were eating. It meant so much. Thank you! We will be back! Please give it a try if you’re apprehensive and support the family running it!

It’s newly open one week! It was a fresh opportunity to try something different. I tried the Chicken Bento. Cooked on the spot; the meal was still hot when I arrived home. Interesting flavor on the garden salad. I encourage others to check it out.. I will visit again.

I ordered chicken teriyaki with the noodles. It tasted good but my food (noodles) had little hard pieces through out it, like tiny shards of bone or something. It hurt my teeth in the back when I bit into it.
I will try again 1 more time at a later date and i hope those peices aren’t in there again!

We ate there on a Saturday afternoon about 3:00 pm. The cashier was very sweet and helpful. We ordered and when the food came out it was hot and plentiful! We ate until we got full and still had plenty to take home. We will definitely go back!
