My husband and I came here for Valentine’s Day and we were so excited to find this place.
It’s a very cute, cozy atmosphere and the decor and art were very fun.
The staff was really helpful with suggestions and friendly as well.
We both got pineapple cucumber juice which was sweet and refreshing.
We split the sampler platter and had leftovers. The plantains were sweet and cooked to perfection, my favorite part. We’d never tried a pupusa before, but that was so good! The steak and chicken were grilled and juicy and we both enjoyed the sausage, too. Everything was great!
We can’t wait to come back.

This place is like a step into El Salvador. The interior is very cozy and welcoming, just like the owner. This is truly a family business as a daughter is the head chef. Her creations are tasty and well prepared. The owner loves to share information about Salvadorian and Costa Rican foods and preparation. I’m been here several times and almost always order papusas and a tamale. This is not Tex-Mex, it is authentic Salvadorian food. Tamales are large, tasty and moist. The papusas prepared perfectly. I enjoyed chorizo, mushroom, and jalapeno. There are many varieties. This is an ideal place for anyone with special food needs. My son cannot have gluten and was impressed with the variety of things available to him, likewise for any vegetarians.

I had a great experience here for dinner. The atmosphere is something special. I ate by myself yet didn’t feel alone. It was great!
I have several dietary needs and food allergies. I was immediately greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable family who owns/operates this gem of a restaurant. After a little discussion, I learned that several of them also have food allergies. That helped me feel more comfortable eating there.
Gabby gave me a few suggestions and helped me decide what to order. She warned me that the pupusas are very filling and she couldn’t have been more right! I had 3 of them and a pork tamale which was more food than I needed but I ate every bit.
The tamale is a little different than a Mexican tamale and had a sweeter taste to it which was delicious. The texture and flavor was very enjoyable.

OMG! So gooood!! I finally decided to try Latin Love Kitchen. I got one of their featured specials, which wasn’t a papusa. It was a hammered chicken breast with sunflower seed pesto. It was the most tender and juicy chicken breast Ive ever had and the pesto was phenomenal! The owners are so very welcoming and take the time to fully explain their menu items. I will have to try their papusa next time. Tri-Cities, get you some love at the Latin Love Kitchen! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

When we go out of town, we love finding spots that are local only. So, while on a trip for our son’s collegiate conference swim meet, we found this spot and my goodness this place serves great authentic El Salvadorian food! It’s so good that we’ve gone back two days in a row for the Salvadorian Breakfast (pictured). The pupusas alone are filling. If you are ever in Kingsport, TN I definitely encourage you to pay them a visit!

We have only gotten to try this place once before through takeout last year when we had a newborn, but this year when we traveled to Kingsport for family Christmas photos, we wanted to try it in person to get the full experience. I am so glad we did, because the staff are part of why this place is such a gem! The food is, of course, absolutely delicious. But there’s also a warmth that you will get here by sitting down and connecting with everyone that works here. We are so lucky and blessed to have something so uniquely delicious in the tri cities! Thank you all for sharing your culture, delicious food, and love to all who walk through the door.

We tried the trio of empanadas — shredded chicken and cheese, ham and cheese — and they were super delicious, full of flavor, and perfectly paired with their homemade sauce.
We also ordered the platter with grilled meat, pupusas, shrimp, tostones, fried yuca, chicken, crispy pork, pico de gallo, mini empanadas, and several tasty sauces. Everything was packed with flavor and the portions were very generous.
If you want to enjoy food full of authentic Latin flavor and great portions, this is the place to go. People from Kingsport and nearby areas — you definitely have to try this delicious spot!

My wife and I were visiting Kingsport for a work trip and found this place online. My father in law’s family is from Costa Rica so we had high expectations…..and those were EXCEEDED by far! We tried the Pura Vida platter and a tamal, all of which were amazing. Talking with the owner was lovely and took my wife right back to her family’s home finca in San Vito. If I could give this place ten stars I would.
