UPDATE: So they comment on my review to tell me they never have had peas, carrots, or the sprouts in the chicken fried rice….well that is an absolute LIE. I’ve ordered from Kim Moon dozens and dozens of times throughout the years and it’s always been the chicken fried rice because of how amazing it was…and guess what….it ALWAYS had peas, carrots, and the sprouts. And to say I called 2 hours after I got the order….another lie. It was 30 minutes after I got the order. I did tell them I ate some of the rice but not the rolls and specifically told them I wasn’t asking for a refund on the rice since I did have a little plate of it because it was my dinner and I had to eat something. I was told to come in for the refund and then put on hold for over 5 minutes just to be told the owner would call me back, which never happened. I was never told they weren’t issuing a refund. They may want to step up their honesty game and tell the truth. More importantly, you can’t cook and serve below average food now and expect a good review. If you’re new ownership, just say that, and say how you don’t add those items in and how you’re adjusting. But to blatantly lie about how the events unfolded doesn’t look good for business and doesn’t show integrity. Don’t say it’s never had those items in it, because it absolutely has. And don’t lie about how long it took for me to call.
Will NEVER do business with this place again. The food has drastically changed and is not good anymore. The chicken fried rice was so bland and dry it was like what I would imagine eating sawdust to be like. There are no peas, carrots, or lentil sprouts any longer. The onions aren’t cooked very well and were so hard it was like eating a raw onion. Couldn’t eat the vegetable rolls because they were so mushy and watery inside. I called because I wanted a refund. What a joke that was. I was on the phone for 10 minutes getting a runaround just to be told they had to call me back so I just hung up. What has happened to this place. I loved eating here but they will no longer get my business. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. Food is so bad now and awful customer service. It was never this way in years past.

This place has gone down hill. The food is barely edible, you can taste the old grease and they are in a rush to shove you out the door. Will not eat from there again.

I love places like this. If you are in San Francisco, the House of Nanking has a similar vibe. Really good food.

My wife and I ordered Kim Moon for Valetines day. They sent us lo mein with severely undercooked or bad chicken. We called, they delivered a replacement which was also undercooked or bad. We called again. They made us return the food for a refund. During a pandemic, after they screwed up twice, we had to actually take the food back to them to get a refund. So instead of spending our 1 childless hour in months with eachother, we spent it dealing with this disgusting mess.

I’d also like to call attention to how they treat their Coy fish. I’ve attached a few pics we took tonight. These fish look sick and miserable and there are too many of them in that filthy, cloudy tank. It’s cruel.

We loved this place till the new owner took over. Today we had a maybe 8 yr old wait on us. Every question the answer was “I dont know” my order was wrong when they brought the food out. The older sister came out and rectified the problem but the food was not good last few times. So I won’t be going back. What ashame WAS the best place in town and through out cities near and far. Sad..

Fantastic take out chinese food. We usually order General Tsao’s, Chicken and Broccoli, both white and fried rice, egg rolls, sushi, and/or boba/milk tea. Everything we’ve ordered, however, has always been fantastic.

I went to Kim Moon for dine-in with a party of two. We had an exceptional experience and will definitely be back. An intimate, family owned restaurant with tasty food, quick service, great portions, all at a reasonable price. All family members ended up serving us (husband, wife, and kids) and checking on us while we enjoyed our meal, which was above and beyond any dining experience we’ve had here in Indiana. They made us feel so welcomed and grateful to be there. I’d highly suggest giving Kim Moon a try; you will undoubtedly enjoy your meal.

This restaurant stopped serving sushi after the new owner took over. The Chinese food was delicious; I highly recommend General Tso’s Chicken.
