Absolutely delish!! So glad we chose to dine in, such a good atmosphere and our waiter couldn’t have been more kind. Our food was PACKED with flavor. I got the short rib grilled cheese, so so yummy! Will definitely be back!

Had the pizza, wings, and short rib sandwich. Everything was very good. The margherita pizza was very fresh with a good crust. The staff was great and attentive, and the prices are very fair compared to similar quality food in the area. The parking isn’t the best with a few spots available on the street (not sure if the lot to the right is reserved for apartments above only). Highly recommended giving this place a try along with nenes market.

I was greatly disappointed in my sandwich. I had to order a gluten free version while the rest of my family ordered theirs on regular bread. Now I had to pay $2.50 additional for theirs GF roll but when the sandwich’s came out it half the size. Now to me if I am paying an additional amount you should get the same size as everyone else NOT a smaller sandwich. To me that is deceiving the customer.

Our server was perfect! Great service however the ambience was nil. They need to turn down the lighting and get a better sound system- way too loud and no music. They could use better flooring as well. The margarita pizza was delish but the salads were a joke – as if the chef dropped all the ingredients on a plate without any attention as to what the ratio would be – nuts to pears to tomatoes- not good! We won’t be returning and it’s a shame because we wanted to support local!

We had our rehearsal dinner at NENE Taverna in Malton, NJ and it was a complete disaster. I was torn about writing this but I’m still so upset, our night was ruined. We were never informed another party was going to be at the restaurant (which would have been fine) but they lied on the contract and wrote we were. They set up our tables where there is a wall cutting in between the tables. They put the party that booked AFTER us on the more open, nicer part of the restaurant. There were ONLY like 2 servers for our party over 50 and the other very large party (probably at least 50). AND they never printed out the pre-fixe menus we were told they would so guests didn’t even know what was on our menu! Nonetheless, service was horrible, food was cold, and took forever. It took 25 minutes to get a Coke Zero and when my guest was given the soda it was Coke and she has diabetes! Unreal! Initially the owner was rude when we spoke to him but he did come in and make good on our bill and apologized profusely. However, it doesn’t take away from the food being cold, awful customer service in the beginning, and terrible experience we (and our guests) had for our rehearsal dinner. Very disappointing!

Great food. So good the staff is under a misconception that they are doing you a favor. Although I hadn’t asked about or commented on the prices I believe the server thought I had. She said the prices are what the prices are. Of course that is true but the arrogance made me feel uncomfortable. I called to ask about a family meal deal that I read about when I was there this morning. I was immediately told I was too late for that deal. That wasn’t the question I was asking. I hope if I come back I’m treated with a little more respect

Everything we ordered was delicious! Hot antipasto, fried mozz, taverna pizza, short rib grilled cheese, rigatoni vodka, and the burger – all delicious and great portion sizes. Can’t wait to come back and try some of the other dishes. The staff are friendly and checked in multiple times throughout the meal. A great local restaurant!
