The chef changes the menu weekly. The entrees typically include a salmon preparation, steak, pasta, plat du jour and a rotation of chicken/duck, veal/lamb/pork and sometimes a rotation of seafood. There is a daily soup, 2-3 salads and 4-5 appetizers, as well as 3-4 house made desserts. The menu is mostly a reflection of the chef’s love of Europe/Mediterranean, with a sprinkling of Global influence. The appetizer prices typically range from $10-$20, and entrees $17-$45. Desserts are $8-$12 depending.

Three of us went to dinner Friday night. Everything was great! The artichoke dip was very good as our appetizer. Two of us had veal and one had duck. Both were excellent! Our waitress was friendly and gave us great service! The owner/chef even came over to chat. Would recommend for any occasion.

I highly recommend this restaurant. My husband and I take an annual trip to southern Illinois and this place is our highly anticipated treat. The perfect date night spot. Please do everyone a favor and make a reservation, although the wait is worth it. Up to you. Either way, check this place out if you’re in or around Carbondale. Depending on weather, the courtyard is lovely.

Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned, staff were very polite and always available. The menu offers regular selections as well as ever changing specials so you can always experience different flavors no matter how many times you eat, which I think is awesome. That said, definitely going back!

The only thing I can say good about here was the ingredients were good and fresh. Unfortunately with small menu when you are out of dishes it’s disappointing. With as many herbs and sauces they use you would think the food would have good flavor but everything was so bland. The crab cakes were real crab but tasted bland and barley had any remoulade sauce and for $20.00 for 2 of them it was really not worth it. The entree was so bland, also we had to get up and go hunt for our waitress to get some salt and pepper to try to help it out before we could eat it. Also she didn’t top off our drinks until she brought the food. My husband did not have anything to drink with any of his meal. I will say the creme brulee was delicious. On top of it they charge 4% to use a card and you sit about a foot away from the people on either side of you. Way overpriced for what you get.

Amazing! That may have been the best filet mignon I’ve ever had. With the gorgonzola butter, mashed potatoes and veggies. My husband had the salmon. Blade was our server, and was fantastic. We couldn’t afford to eat here every week, but we will definitely be back!

I love the atmosphere! Very cozy. The food was good, but the portion sizes were tiny. Our waitress was awesome and super friendly. The only complaint I have is that the tables are very close together, making it kind of awkward to get seated, but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our experience here 🙂 They even have little pillows, super comfy. I’ll definitely be back when it’s time to splurge again. Try the empanadas if you can!! So yummy.

Our waiter was new, no one was helping him. He took out appetizer order, then our food. Came back to tell us the steaks we ordered were gone. Replaced with veal, not good. Then brought our apps, not what we ordered, said they were out so he just brought 2 apps.

Great dining experience. My old fashioned and wine choice were both great. A lot of flavor in both dishes. Lamb was cooked perfectly. Nice portions sizes and the price was good for the quality. Lucas also provided amazing service.
