Happy Jack’s Restaurant opened its doors in 1967 when owners Jack & Wendy Chew decided to prrovide the Niagara Region & Western New York with great Chinese food, friendly service & generous portions. Jack & Wendy worked from their small 40 seat diner until 1972, when they had expanded the restaurant to 110 seats & 1977, they decided to expand once again with another 130 seats dining room. It was an exciting time, with a new building & expanded menu to cater to the new & developing taste or our customers. Through their dilegence to serve the best Chinese food. In 2000, the three sons(Jeff, Alvin & Jack Jr.) took over the restaurant & continue too expand seating to Happy Jack’s outdoor Patio. Riverwalk overlooking the Peace Bridge & N.River

Family-owned institution featuring a range of traditional Chinese dishes & a patio with river views.

If you’re in a wheelchair they will bring out a ramp so you can get in. The foods been pretty good each time my friends and I come and the the staff there is great. My only thing is the bathroom is upstairs so because of my wheelchair I can’t use it.

We had a great experience at Happy Jack’s in Fort Erie! The service was amazing—friendly, fast, and attentive. We ordered the Dinner for 2 and added sweet and sour chicken to our meal. Everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality in every dish. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Revisited Happy Jack’s for the first time in a long time! It was crazy busy but our good arrived quickly & it was very good! We had the Cantonese Chow Mein & Sizzling Cantonese Pork, both were very tasty, especially after a long day on the water! Lots of young bus boys/girls who were great at getting drinks, clearing tables etc.!

Visited last night and had an amazing experience.
The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole evening feel special. The food was delicious, and the hospitality was truly top-class.
We enjoyed every moment and felt very well taken care of.
Definitely a place we’d love to visit again. Highly recommended.

Wish I lived closer, as there is a reason this place has been around for decades. Prompt attentive service, and quality dishes prepared quickly. This most recent visit, I don’t recall the name of the dish I ordered but it was a signature item with chicken and vegetables in a flavourful dark sauce, served in a sizzling iron cauldron. I will get this everytime going forward. It’s best to go with a few people and share a couple of dishes to really appreciate the variety. When doing a Sunday drive to Niagara, Happy Jack’s is always on the radar.

We ate dinner at Happy Jack’s last night as part of a tour bus group. Various platters of Chinese dishes were served family style to each long table of about 10-12 people. The dishes included 2 platters each of: noodles, fried rice, beef & broccoli, orange chicken, tempura shrimp, chicken & broccoli, bean sprouts & vegetables, chicken/pork/shrimp &.vegetables, hot tea, water, and fortune cookies. There was plenty of food. Some of the platters still had food left on them. I do wish at least one of the dishes would have been a spicy dish, such as kung Pao chicken. The dining room consisted of long tables.

Haven’t been in a long while, but finally made it back. The wonton soup broth is amazing, almost pho like, and the wontons are clearly made from scratch. Cooked perfectly and delicious. This soup is years beyond the stuff we get in buffalo from our Chinese food restaurants. Eggrolls also obviously homemade and extremely delicious. These hot mustard is actually hot! The service is second to none. Had dinner for four, was more than we could eat, and all of it tasted amazing! Can’t wait to come back!

North American Chinese food done better than the rest.

If I lived closer I’d weight 700lbs, but when I’m in Fort Erie and I have the time I do my best to stop in for lunch or dinner.

Prices are very affordable, portions are plentiful, service is 5 star and the food is so so so tasty

Their fried rice is the best hands down in Canada I travel the country north to south, east to west and always try to find the best Chinese food.

This place is a gem you will love it.

Okay so, my deceased aunt always wanted to go here and we finally did on New Year’s. We got sat quick but took almost 15 minutes to give requests. After food arrived it was apparent we needed to order rice separately. We didn’t on the account or took more than half an hour for 3 dishes with very very little meat in them. We’re seriously hoping this was an off day and will try again in the future but so far? Local dives like the one next door seemingly offer a much better product for a far better price.
