I often wonder about people who leave a negative review and won’t add a name. I often think these reviews are not legitimate.
Easy to park, great atmosphere. I’ve always had a good experience at Travinia, friendly staff and good pasta. I’m surprised by the reviews.

Amazing place… food is exquisite.. and the service is top notch.. our waitress Emmie was amazing she knew the whole menu by heart. She was very excited explain everything to us and how it’s made.. she had tasted everything on the menu making it easier for us to ask for her opinion and she would tell us the honest truth of what she thought was the best and what her recommendations were. she all ways had a smile on her face and would all ways ask if we needed anything that could make our experience better that she would bring it to us… she was just looking for our experience to be the best and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it.

The atmosphere is beautiful, i love the open kitchen! Our service was pretty good. The food was alright.
I come from new york and i’ve eaten A LOT of italian food. Today i had the chicken parm sub and i was a little less than impressed. The sauce was very tepid, acidic, and a bit too chunky for my liking (too many chunks of tomatoes, i prefer a smooth marinara sauce) . My chicken seemed slightly under cooked. i mean it was cooked enough not to be dangerous but i could still see some reminiscence of pink. The pasta salad that comes with the chicken parm sub was bland but the parm offered helped jazz it up. My husband originally ordered the Lasagna Bolognese, sadly about a minute or two later the waiter came back and said that their was no lasagna bolognses prepared and it would be about 30 mins, my husband then changed his order to the pan fried calamari which he seemed to appreciate. His only complaint was that the dipping sauce was too spicy for his taste. Lastly, i ordered a canoli, it was very good.
When our check came we were accidentally charged for three meals (server had included the lasagna bolognese) he quickly realized his mistake and rectified the situation.
All in all the service was pretty good, the food was about a C+ or B- and the atmosphere was an A+. I might go back again and try dinner. I find that since the food was a bit so, so that the prices are a bit high.
If ya want a good upstate NY dish, try preparing chicken riggies! EVERYONE will love it. If the owner reads this and likes my suggestion, contact me and i’ll show ya how to prepare the riggie dish 🙂

11:30 Sunday. One table of 5, two groups of 4 and the four of us. The service — unacceptable. It wasn’t the waitress’s fault. It was the kitchen staff. All 4 orders were menu staples — no special orders. 45 minutes for food. The food — the lasagna was crumbly, only half warm, was sent back as unedible. The chicken in the chicken picatta was over-cooked and dry. The large scallops came on a bed of broccoli, but the Bernaise sauce was missing. The veal, artichoke and cappellini was the only correct meal. The waitress brought the check, but was then given a table of 8 to get drink and appetizer orders. (The lasagna had been deducted). After 10 minutes, I took the check and my card to the hostess, and asked her to process it. She said she’d take it to the waitress. From where I was sitting I could see the hostess. She’d put the folder on her counter and was straightening up. No move to take the payment to the back. The waitress came to collect it and she had to go and retrieve it. Never did see the manager. When we were leaving, the hostess said, “We hope to see you again.” I said she wouldn’t. She just shrugged and said, “OK.” From previous experiences and reviews, poor service is a recurring problem for Travinia.

I went to Travina yesterday with my daughter and sister. This is my first time ever going and the menu items sounded delicious. The bread was extremely rock hard and not edible that I had to ask the waitress for another one. The second one was was hard as well. My daughter’s and sister’s entrees came out room temperature while my entree was steaming hot. Now as I type this, I am sitting here with the worst belly ache that I’ve had since I had food poisoning last year (not from Travina but another restaurant last year). Therefore, I am highly disappointed and will continue to stick with Carrabba’s instead.

I spent two and a half hours waiting for food when the place wasn’t half full during Masters week (Friday night). The management said that they were slow due to a party. In my opinion, they were understaffed and the kitchen couldn’t get it together. The food was good, but not like it used to be! They definitely did not meet our expectations.

My husband and I love the Travinia in Aiken, especially the various chicken dishes served at lunch. The service is always gracious. I especially appreciated it today because we had only 45 minutes for lunch because of an event, and our server took excellent care of us in that amount of time.

Excellent food and service. Nice atmosphere. Do not believe some of the bad reviews because everyone recommended this place and they were correct in that it had very good food. My server was Chris and he was helpful and friendly. The crab cake was the best I have ever had and that includes even specialty seafood restaurants on the coast. Thank you for a good experience.

First off, having had Black Tiger Shrimp I know they are huge. Google them if you don’t believe me. I ordered Sergio’s Black Spaghetti* which is supposed to be “Sautéed black tiger shrimp, scallions, hot calebrese sausage and E.V. olive oil”. What I got was 1, maybe 2 regular size shrimp cut up with a blob of black pasta. Not Black Tiger, which do have distinctive stripes, just a regular little shrimp. For $20 I expect more in an entree. And who cuts up shrimp? They are sautee’d butterflied, not diced. My server said she hadn’t served many of this dish and would talk to the manager. She went into the kitchen and then came out and said they would add more shrimp. I said that wasn’t the point. What the menu said and what I got were two different things. She said she would get the manager, whom she had never spoken to at all as he was at another table. When he came over he even admitted he didn’t know much about the dish and would talk to the kitchen manager and bought us a round of drinks. They brought me out a plate with more cut up shrimp this time maybe 4. I told my wife we would drive to Columbia next time as the food never disappoints.And the Atmosphere? No music, just a lot of loud talking. I asked my server, and later at the end of our meal they finally dimmed the lights and played some pop music. The idea is to promote a real Italian kitchen. Sinatra music, Dean Martin, the Rat Pack. They have thier pictures on the wall, but can’t play the music? They play what the kids that work there like, not what a customer expects. My wifes chicken marsala was very good, and I was there for her Birthday so it wasn’t a total loss. But we won’t go back. Indifferent service, bait and switch food tactics and no atmosphere is not a winning combination.

Bland, tasteless and boring. My husband had the chicken piccata and it was awful. The goat cheese salad used to be awesome, but they managed to even screw that up. The goat cheese used to be lightly dusted, seasoned and fried to be soft and warm. Now, it’s so heavy with batter it’s inedible. Time for a serious kitchen revamp.
