My husband and myself just got back from having breakfast and when we received our food, it was cold!
The waitress was very shocked to say the least, my husband was very disappointed and so was I. The waitress “warmed” my breakfast up, but the home fries were the only thing sort of warm.
When my husband and myself came here before the renovation everything was spot on. The waitresses were awesome, the food was excellent, no complaints. This experience has changed our view tremendously. I have to say as well, to charge $3.99 for a soda, ice tea etc, is outrageous. When we came here last I believe your drinks were $1.99 or at the most $2.99.
Back when the RV park use to give out coupons, and you could get your prime rib, 2 for 1. I can’t imagine what it would be like after this experience.
I like the renovation that was done, but it should reflect the type of food you serve as well. If that isn’t the case, go back to the old model and serve your excellent food.
Some times updating isn’t always the best.
My husband and I loved the old restaurant and wouldn’t mind paying the price for food and service.

I enjoy going to restaurants, but the experience is always as important as the food. The other night I had a business meeting and we met at Sierra Cafe in Verdi. All we ordered was coffee and our server was Marcie, I’m always pleased when I don’t have to ask for a refill and she never let us down. She was wonderful and even brought us a complementary dish of ice cream. She was great and I even told her that it’s people like her that keeps me coming back for more. Thanks Marcie

Newly remodeled and new menu items. Plentiful portions. We had the Cowboy omlette, French toast and Gold Ranch bowl for breakfast. All were very good. We were also able to order a latte and cappuccino from the coffee shop in the casino. Cindy was so cheerful and gave us great service.

They have to be the best deep-fried pickles! Good service. Fast. Affordable. We were one of two groups. The husband had the prime rib dip sandwich and loved it. Kid had the peperoni pizza and finished it.

Ordered an medium iced white chocolate mocha and a breakfast burrito. Total came out to $17.30. When I asked why I was charged extra ontop of the text and items they said they do a service charge on top of to-go orders!
The drink was also not mixed so the first drink was a mouthful of syrup.

Beware of this place. I sat down to eat. While sitting there I decided to go to the counter and order to go. I ordered a breakfast burrito. I paid cash. She handed me the receipt. It had a $2.50 service charge. What is this? She told me it was to go orders charge. Nowhere on the menu or around the register does it say anything about a service charge. I asked for the $2.50 back or all of my money. The waitress said she would get the manager on duty because she could not do a refund. After ten minutes the manager came by and ignored me. She could of handled the situation differently. The waitress was very nice. The food was good. I always stop by there on my way to Reno. They lost my business over $2.50.

We were around the corner from Sierra Cafe located in the Gold Ranch Casino in Verdi. We had breakfast “Eggs Your Way” $8.99 and the “New York Steak & Eggs” $12.99. The food was prepared right, not over or undercooked. The steak was NOT dry and easy to chew . Service was prompt for the food except for the seating wait time (we were the only ones in line). About 4 other tables with customers already eating. Anyway, for the price I say it was worth it. For sure to go back maybe for lunch or dinner to try out the other meals on their menu. maybe you’ll like this place if you ever get the chance to stop by.

August 2017. $8.99 for Prime Rib Dip sandwich with fries. Very tasty. Generous portions. Friendly Staff. Fast service. The prime rib had been shredded, making it very easy to eat. I pulled 1/2 of the bread aside for the photo and inadvertently covered most of the fries. Several months ago I had their Country Fried Steak breakfast ($10.99) and enjoyed it.
