I’ve heard much good about Mary’s, as I’ve recently moved to King George. Today my husband and I got four different types of cookies which were all perfectly made. Super soft but cooked thoroughly. Sugar cookies can be harder to make but there’s are absolutely delicious. Their customer service was excellent and I’ve seen reviews complaining about them “bugging” you, asking if you need anything, but if you find that annoying you don’t like good hospitality- sucks. They were so welcoming. 10/10 I would go back.

Jim and Mary, the wonderful husband-and-wife team behind this sweet operation, clearly pour their hearts into everything they do. Mary’s passion for her craft shines through in every conversation, and her expertise is evident in every handcrafted piece. Kirstin was incredibly helpful throughout my visit, offering thoughtful guidance and recommendations. The entire team, including Ilyssa and Miriam, goes above and beyond with their friendly, knowledgeable service that makes every customer feel genuinely valued.
The chocolates themselves are absolutely phenomenal! The generous sampling policy means you can truly discover your favorites – and trust me, limiting your choices will be your biggest challenge. Their handcrafted truffles are amazing. But what really sets Mary’s apart is their incredible variety beyond traditional chocolates. They create hundreds of unique chocolate gifts perfect for any occasion – from sports-themed treats for your favorite fan to profession-specific chocolates for that special someone. They even craft whimsical creations like chocolate that looks like deviled eggs that are as delicious as they are surprising!

Stumbled across Mary’s thanks to a road sign. They are located just off VA 3. Walked in to a chorus of “Welcome to Mary’s” from the staff and it felt like going back in time. Samples were encouraged and they know why it is smart to be generous. The biggest challenge was (and will be) to limit your choices. The made-onsite candies are excellent and the chocolate offerings come in dark and milk varieties.
A special shout out to Kirstin, my primary guide during the selection process as well as the husband and wife team of Jim and (of course) Mary. Mary clearly knows and loves her business – I made a special note that Key Lime pies are available and are a special order. Next time I head in that direction, I’ll surely place an advance order for a pie as a special treat!
