I had the red curry with chicken and it was delicious. Creamy and rich broth with chicken and veggies had great flavor. Authentic flavor with good spice level (next I’ll go spicier though). Service was very attentive and made good suggestions. I’ll definitely be back to try their Tom Kha, another one of my favorite Thai soups.

Immediately walking in, the life the place use to have is gone. It doesn’t have the warm feeling it used to have. The spring rolls don’t have the same peanut sauce anymore, or the sweet chili sauce, and the pho is smaller, and lost the flavor it use to have any they don’t give you the option to use the bottles anymore to put your own sauce. I was looking forward to coming back since I moved to Texas for a warm bowl of pho and I’m so disappointed I could cry…

I only go for the PHO and it is definitely not the same since the new owners have taken over. The flavor is completely gone, the meat is tougher, and there are no condiments on the table anymore. When you ask for Sriracha or any other sauce they squirt a little bit in a sauce cup and bring it to you. That takes away from the dining experience, I have to call you for salt, call you for pepper, call you for Sriracha, call you for chili oil and the list goes on. Tragic!!!!

I got the regular beef pho, called on the phone, the workers are extremely nice and even sold me on a few other things for my order. The pho is pretty tasty for the price, and I can tell they’ve been using some higher quality ingredients. Can’t forget the Fried vegetable rolls either, some of the best i’ve had!

I have been a customer of Bangkok Spice for several years. With the transition of the ownership we have been looking forward to the reopening. Last night we finally got a chance to go back and dine in at what once was our favorite restaurant. The food was not good at all our fried rice was cold and bland the orange chicken tasted like it came out of a box the PHO brisket was so tough I couldn’t even eat it. During the ownership transition I recall the previous owners saying they offered the new owners time to come over and learn the recipes and how they cooked the food. I advise them strongly to see if that offer is on the table go and hire or find the previous cooks because we literally had to make ourselves eat what we ordered. After spending well over $115.00 on dinner last night I can say it was some of the most overpriced bland Thai food I have EVER EATEN……. If you don’t fix your recipes you will lose your faithful customer following take this advice get your staff trained by the previous owners ASAP……

We ate dinner after they reopened this week with the new owners. A lot was a good facelift inside but the same booths/tables and chairs are there. The food was amazing. We got chicken pad Thai, orange chicken, teriyaki chicken and egg rolls. The service was great and I’m so happy they’ve reopened!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is not good, dark seem like I walk
To the haunted house. Food is not delicious, everything is salty, the noodles smell bad. If you like Thai food, I do not recommend. Not good at all !

Fantastic food. However, the blonde lady with glasses who I believe is the manager, made the experience miserable. She was constantly berating and chewing out one of the waiters very loudly at the register and even in front of a table of guests. I saw a woman give him a tip to brighten his spirits after watching her humiliate him and YET AGAIN- she chewed him out for 10 minutes. (if i saw correctly, she even took it after he proudly and happily showed her, thus crushing his spirits furthermore) give it a rest lady. It was a headache to listen to her speak to the staff that way. We will not be dining in again

I visited this restaurant while away on business. Overall, the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was mostly very good.

I ordered the spring rolls to start. Overall, they were fresh, and paired nicely with the sauces.

For my entree, I ordered the ginger tofu dish. Note that the waitress asked if I was vegan, which was thoughtful on her part.

The entree came with a salad. I did not enjoy the house dressing. However, that was only a minor issue.

I received my entree promptly, and it was delicious. The portion size was substantial as well.

Overall, the experience was very good; highly recommended if you are in the West Monroe area and looking for vegetarian / pescatarian options.
