This was our first time dining here. Food was amazing, service was very good and the atmosphere was excellent. We were there during happy hour so we tried a bunch of different appetizers and food choices, all were excellent. The clam chowder actually ate like a meal, the crab cakes were big and flavorful, the crab dip was rich and meaty. My wife had the grouper, this fish was a big portion, flaky and very flavorful. Happy to have found another great food option in Omaha.

Being from Texas/Louisiana I thought I’d give this place a try. I took a picture when I opened the container simply to share because the roux looked really thin. After the first taste I realized the étouffée was spoiled. No one answered the phone when I called. I will be returning it to the sender. (I didn’t try the beans after being disgusted by the etouffee. Needless to say the first impression is always the lasting impression.

Such great food and a really good vibe to the place. We also witnessed a proposal while we dined, so I wish I could add an extra star for that sweet moment! But seriously the food was phenomenal. I’d say the stars of the show were the NOLA shrimp, shrimp and grits, étoufée, and bread pudding. The Cajun mac n cheese and crab dip were also really good… All this to say you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We will be back!!

We are from Oklahoma and this place is something we gotta visit every time we come here in Omaha. The ambience is very peaceful and cozy. Our server was really pleasant. Food was VERY delicious!! My husband got the shrimp & grits and I got the meatballs. They’re more than we expected!! Really really good. I wish I could give 10 star!

I loved this place. It had a great little Happy Hour menu that I found the Artichoke Crab Dip on – it was so good and creamy that j wished i could’ve eaten more. But I had also ordered the short rib which was also very good, especially the grits under it! I came wait to go back and try more. And can’t forget to mention my awesome server – he was fabulous!!

I really wanted to like this, I have Cajun roots. But the crawfish etoufee was just not good. I’ve had it in New Orleans and in my own home and this is just sorry. Why is it sour? It should be buttery and flavorful from the roux. The crawfish was tough probably because it was frozen. The crab and artichoke dip was decent but less artichoke and more crab is needed. At the end of the day it was my fault for expecting fresh seafood and Cajun flavor in Omaha. The service is outstanding though.

7-12-25 We had the crab artichoke dip. Super duper creamy and flavorful. I had the bowl of étouffée with blackened chicken. Mild to Mid heat. Great flavor. Drinks went dry a couple times, asked for pink sweetener, server was like I don’t think we have that and looked confused. You don’t have sweet n low? Oh that, yes. We need a lot!!! He brings 2 packets for the both of us…we will need more. Comes back with 2 more and said that is it unless you want me to go back the locker and (hold on for it) and unlock it to get more…smh… I get being busy, but why are you working for tips? Oh! Service. We will go again to give them a chance to earn the final star. The food was that good!

The restaurant is small and themed nicely! Very nice vibe on the corner of the road. Would be great to eat out on the patio in the summer, but with the winter weather we were welcomed by the warm and cozy atmosphere of the indoors. Our server was friendly.

The food: Gumbo is a must! The gumbo came out warm, definitely not hot, but the flavors were immaculate. It was like an exciting dance in my mouth. Chicken was so tender and the vegetable had all the right bite. So so good, and made me excited for what was to come! I would honestly comeback just for the gumbo.

The person I was with ordered the jambalaya, said it was quite delicious, but the gumbo definitely stole the show!

I had the Étouffée and was rather disappointed. Not sure if something was off that day with the batch or what, but the sauce was very pale in color (comparing it to their online picture) and tasted like nothing but cream and the crunchy red peppers. I was expecting a punch of flavor following the gumbo, but there was practically no seasoning and it needed a heavy dose of salt at the table. I was expecting a little bit of warmth with it having one flame symbol for spiciness (highest dish has 3), but even that wasn’t to be found. Crawfish were plentiful at least which was nice. I failed to mention something to our server, but definitely should have looking back. I was left highly disappointed in the main entree. I would be curious to try it again so I can see if it was just a fluke that day, but also very hesitant to do so.

Both dinners came with an abundance of plain rice. It seemed a bit excessive, especially given the lack of flavor on the Étoufée, and but most people probably won’t complain. I wish the rice came seasoned or something to make it a little less bland.

Overall definitely come here for the gumbo! The person in my party had a cocktail that he said was very good. So gumbo and cocktails at the bar would make for a great night. The rest of their menu seems intriguing, but difficult to trust given my experience.

Ordered take out blackened chicken jambalaya and shrimp and grits. Sides of cornbread and coleslaw. Service and ordering was great. Chicken jambalaya was ultra spicy and hot. I didn’t order extra hot. The shrimp and grits was a bit on the spicy side as well. Id expect Cajun cuisine to be spicy but this was pushing it. Collard greens were awesome
