Went on Saturday and wasn’t disappointed. Which, I didn’t think I would be anyway! Food was delicious and there was PLENTY. I don’t think I could ever have too much of that mac salad though.. The kimchi noodles were savory and refreshing and the chicken was moist. The restaurant was clean and everyone was friendly. Can’t wait to go back.

We would suggest trying them. To be fair, we didn’t get anything that was truly pacific island cuisine. We got the Seoul Kalbi, pork Kalbi, and Pork stir fried noodles. We enjoyed the Kimchi noodles and the flavors of the meat and the pickled cucumbers, but we did feel the Pork Kalbi was a bit tough, dry. There was also very little pork in the stir fried noodles, and the macaroni salad was bland. The service was so welcoming and respectful. Fyi, a bit above average prices but very good portion sizes. Very nice and clean venue! 3.75/5.

This place has become almost a weekly staple for me. The food is always so good! The staff is always so sweet. It might seem a bit pricey but they give you huge portions so I think their prices are more than fair. Highly highly recommend!

I was a regular customer when BokaNinas Pacific Island Fusion was located beside the old Foodlion. It was more than the food: I returned also for the welcoming vibe that I received every single visit. As any regular, I had my favorites and I could walk in the door and whomever was behind the register knew what I was going to order. Unfortunately, you were forced to close that location, I moved on the north side of Havelock and have only been able to get my favorites once (literally one time) when I happened to be on MHC when the food truck was by the hospital, since you closed. Yesterday, on my way to carteret county, I was craving Bokas, never looked at the Facebook page, simply went to the website and ordered. It was after 2 pm, unknown to me, Bokas was closing at 2. They could’ve simply called and told me they were closed, unable to process my order; instead, the daughter met me at the locked door at 2:45 pm with fresh hot food and a smile. I apologized once I noticed they had been closed almost an hour and she never broke her joyful demeanor a told me “no worries “. How many businesses in today’s world stay past closing to service a customer and smile the entire time? BokaNina staff, never change who you are or how you serve your community! Your food is delicious, but more than that you and your entire family live with integrity and a genuine joy that emanates to your customers. I felt terrible leaving knowing your staff went above and beyond and unfortunately I had no cash to even offer a tip for their efforts. I will return the favor next time: you definitely have a returning customer in me!

Their food will not simply satisfy your hunger. It’ll soothe you into a relaxed state where all your worries fade.
If it’s your first time, I recommend trying the Pacific Island tacos with chicken or pork. Do not slip squeezing the lime over the tacos, it really adds to fusion they’re all about.
Worth every minute, every bite, every penny. These folks are full of life and excited to see their customers, check in on their families, and feed them all. A true testament to their heritage and a treasured part of our community.
Atmosphere and decor needs a little more work, but it’s only been like 2 weeks, they’re getting settled into the new location. I’ll bet you lunch it won’t be long before they add the same love and passion to their walls.

The new building added a lot more space for seating. The food is amazing as always. I highly recommend the Hula Hawaiian plate. I’m a big fan of the chicken and macaroni salad especially.

We found this restaurant by Google maps. I wanted something wholesome after having surgery on base and to try something new; not a chain. Everything we ordered was delicious. The lumpia was fresh, hot, and cripsy. The pork soup was amazing. Would be a perfect dish if you were sick. Was so comforting after my surgery. Even the romaine and the dressing were a perfect combination with great flavors. We had to order the lumpia dessert to take home to our boys. They were a huge hit with everyone. We will definitely have to go back so we can take our boys! The inside atmosphere was a little sterile, but the food more than makes up for it. There is not a lot of seating. We did take ours to go, but you can dine in comfortably. The service was top-notch. Friendly and patient, while we perused the menu, making tough decisions from all the tasty looking options. They even double bagged my soup to ensure it would not leak.

So I was in Havelock doing some work and saw this place on the map so we decided to stop by. The food was great. I had the Chamorro Fiesta with chicken and rice and shrimp patty’s and cucumbers. I couldn’t finish the portion I was given. And the lumpia was good too, so was the short ribs that my coworker let me try from his plate. I will definitely come back when I come to Havelock. The staff here were very friendly, very nice people. Stop by for good food.
Note: a friend of mine just told me that this restaurant is looking for a new location. They’re still open, but might be doing business out of a food truck during these first few months of 2024.
