What I ordered vs what I received. Asked if the picture was perch or catfish. Was told it’s catfish. Ordered 2 piece dinner for $11 and received what looked like a half empty kids meal. Fries were spongy like they were cooked while thawed or not cooked enough. Fish was seasoned ok but sitting in a pool of oil no bread. Cole slaw in mini condiment cup was starting to separate.

Good customer service clean environment and fresh well seasoned food. I’m tony and I’m a vegan I would the community to know that if you are vegan or allergic to shrimp they had vegan shrimp and a vegan menu there but not to many people knew about it please if we can start requesting those things we can get it back.

It’s not too good, I try my best to patronize Black owned business, but this place could do with some major improvement.
I waited over 40 minutes or more for my order after being told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Wings were burnt a little.
Not upset, improve. I’ll come back. I’m not a gambler, but it seems like the gambling area and the bar setup look nice. But the restaurant can be way better.

The food was very good. The Italian Beef was tender and not overly cooked. It was dipped perfectly not to wet. My jerk chicken Philly was on point! The perfect blend of sweetness and spicy. Me and the wifey split 3 choice combo. Whiting, Perch, Chicken Wings. The wings was about average size ( small) but was seasoned and cooked nice and crispy! My whiting and perch was seasoned nicely, probably a little over cooked for some, but it works great for me. Wait time was probably around 35 minutes for a walk in, not bad for freshly cooked food and friendly service. I recommend for whoever is reading this and live

Wanted to try this place since I don’t have one back home, and Chicago is too far. Fries didn’t come with chicken wings like they do in Chicago. Had to pay extra for them. Perch was cut into small ¼ pieces, not served as whole fillets like they’re supposed to be and overcooked. Didn’t realize until I made it home. Big “No Refunds” sign on counter. More expensive too. Spent over $100. Had to pay over the phone for orders $30+, didn’t really feel comfortable giving card number over phone.

Honestly, I haven’t been this impressed with a small business in a long while. The food was incredible, they cook and prepare it fresh for you. The portions are large, I had leftovers to take home. It’s a very small location, only about 4 tables. But that’s what I love about it! It’s small and quiet and the food is phenomenal. Get the lemon pepper and hot sauce, it’s worth it! The prices are also great, nothing is outrageously expensive. I shook the owners hand after he came up and personally asked me how he food was. I told him I’d be back, and I definitely will!

We was in town for a funeral & looked up JJ’s fish & chicken for dinner before we hit the road back home. Google said it was open until 12am however when we got there the open sign was lit up but the light’s inside was off and not a soul in sight. We had to wait & drive 2 hours to Davenport, IA to finally get some JJ’s. I felt let down, disappointed & with a growling stomach. I am not sure why they closed super early hope that all is well

This place was a favorite. Was drive from Madison Wisconsin to it because it was the closest to us but today, February 23 after a hour and a half drive. This food was not what we were use to. Horrible. The catfish filet was dry crunch with hardly any meat. The fries was damn near burnt and cold after wait almost a hour. Please go back to what you use to do but for now we will travel to Milwaukee
