Discovered The Holt while planning for a recent camping trip to Button Bay State Park. The reviews were good & they had vegetarian options, so we decided to stop in for lunch on our way to the campground. This was a smart choice. It’s located in a lovely space & the staff is SUPER friendly & helpful. I opted for the turkey club sandwich, which actually had a thick slice of fresh turkey breast (not sliced deli meat), & was served on thick-sliced bread, along with other quality ingredients. My husband had the vegetarian curry chickpea salad sandwich, & was equally pleased with the taste & quality. The value for what we ate could not be beat, especially with the added pleasant & personable service. It was also conveniently located a short drive from the campground. I would highly recommend eating here & would gladly revisit when in this area again.

This is a very quite and relaxing area with top of the line services with using local resources to make exceptional meals at affordable prices. And gives you the feeling of spending time with your grandma with the flavorful food they provide.

A pleasant surprise with a unique dining experience and great service. I was hesitant because of the very low prices and mismatched menu items but the chef clearly knows what they’re doing. The portions are on the smaller side, but that’s okay given the price. We had the deviled eggs, tacos, burger and potato salad and were very pleased with everything. Overall good quality ingredients and a welcoming atmosphere. My only suggestions are to add the option for two burger patties and to have music playing in the background.

We went on the recommendation from a previous review regarding “the best sausage gravy and biscuits.” It just so happens that we hit the lottery with a fantastic buffet style breakfast, sausage and gravy biscuits included! Needless to say, we were very satisfied. All the food was great! Another new favorite; the deconstructed black bean and corn salsa! We’ll be spreading the word!

Low key and relaxed, amazing seating area for a group or to stay and read or work. Enjoyed both egg sandwich/breakfast tacos for breakfast and Italian sandwich/iced tea for lunch. Recommended stop in Vergennes!

Fun little almost cafeteria style set up.
Loved the deviled eggs. The shrimp curry was okay. Rice was clumpy and sauce was lacking in curry flavor. Menu isn’t cohesive more of a chaos menu but $44 for 3 people can’t beat that price.I will try there other dises.

We enjoyed two of their specials on Tuesday night and they were great! The Homemade Meatball Sub and Bacon and onion quiche with greens really hit the spot. Chicken wings and an IPA as an appetizer. Loved the comfortable atmosphere.

Had a nice chill brunch today! This is a small cafe style place and the buffet is small. Very tasty sausage gravy and biscuits and fresh salad and quiche. Good coffee. Maybe add some tea to the coffee bar? Thanks Holt!

Very (surprisingly) reasonably priced. I mean eggs for 1.50, and 2-3$ breakfast tacos. Awesome location, lush factory. Reasonable food, very quick and great service. We also enjoyed our lattes!
