In the heart of Florida, a family treasure was born from Pop’s love for old fashioned BBQ. His passion for crafting mouthwatering, slow-cooked meats brought friends and family together to share laughter, stories, and memorable meals. Inspired by the unforgettable gatherings and Pop’s extraordinary culinary skills, his son (Danny) and grandson (Hunter) decided to share this legacy across Florida through Pop’s Smoke Shed. Great place to get Barbecue, smoked meats. We got the smoked white meat chicken with 2 sides and 1 meal was enough to feed both of us: we ordered 2 but we didn’t know the chicken would be so big. Took food home with us. They could cut the chicken in half and charge the same price because it’s a lot. Great macaroni, the whole meal was great. No complaints here.

Adrienne took great care of us during our visit. We shared the Pop’s Sampler Plate—brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken—with BBQ baked beans and the Friday Lobster Mac. The portions were huge, the food came out fast, and everything was delicious. The sauces were all great, but the meat didn’t need them! Remember to order the Banana Pudding for dessert. It was amazing. Incredible value, and we even enjoyed leftovers the next night on our trip home. Pop’s Smoke Shed is now a must-stop for us whenever we’re in Big Pine Key.

The BBQ was fantastic, the service was great, and the portions were more that we could eat. We got the sampler which let’s you try two sides, and all four meats, and we couldn’t finish it. Well worth it, and honestly, the prices were very good for what you get!!!

Pop’s Smoke Shed in Big Pine Key is the definition of excellent local BBQ!
I stopped in for lunch and was completely blown away by the quality. The ribs and mac and cheese were cooked to absolute perfection—tender, smoky, and incredibly satisfying.
What truly elevated the meal was the service. Our server, Erin, was fantastic: so nice, polite, and incredibly helpful. If you’re looking for top-notch smoked meat and superb hospitality in the Keys, Pop’s Smoke Shed is a must-visit. Five stars!

Dropped on this place after a couple of hours at memorial beach. We went for lunch around 1.00 p.m. My wife and I couldn’t decide from the excellent selection available so went for 4 meat sampler platter. This was more than enough for the two of us and ended up taking a doggy tray with the food we couldn’t eat. Everything was cooked to perfection and the brisket melted in your mouth, the meat fell off the baby back ribs, the chicken breast was huge. Taste was excellent, well seasoned but not overpowering. We had the sides of mac and cheese, coleslaw and potatoe salad which were all fantastic. Great value for money, the bill came to $62 with drinks. Our server was fantastic and couldn’t be more helpful. Highly recommended if you’re in the area. Many thanks, best food we’ve had in a long, long time.

My family was visiting the keys and came across this restaurant. It was tucked away and seemed quiet so we almost walked. Last second we decided to check the reviews and we’re blown away with the positive comments. We decided to give it a shot.
This ended up being one of, if not the best restaurant that we visited in the keys. Our server was the sweetest woman ever and made the entire visit entertaining. You could tell that she genuinely enjoyed her job. I think she said her name was Liz but I cant remember unfortunately. The food was phenomenal. Our family of four all walked away saying the same thing: This was one of the best resturants we have ever been to.
If you want a laid back and fairly priced meal this is the place to be. Well done guys

Pops Smoke Shed is the real deal! The Classic Burger was perfectly cooked, the okra crispy and spot on, and the Brisket Mac & Cheese loaded with smoky, tender brisket. Loved the lineup of five BBQ sauces—Memphis was my favorite. Washed it down with an Iguana Bait draft, all while the Star-Spangled Banner played in the background. Phenomenal food, great vibe—proud to be an American eating here!

Stopped in for lunch and did not disappoint. Polite server, delicious food. I had the loaded baked potato with brisket added. Highly recommend.
PS brought my own diet mountain dew though Virtually no restaurants carry it.

A nice place for whole family. We ordered the sampler (pulled pork, ribs, chicken and brisket) and it was enough to feed four. Everything tasted great and the kids loved it; specially the Mac and cheese. They do have a variety of sauces, but my favorite was the spicy bbq sauce. The restaurant also have local beers which I really enjoy. Our waitress was very friendly.
