We ordered the Sweet Peanut Curry (Panang Curry), and it was absolutely delicious. The curry was thick, creamy, and packed with flavour. The balance of richness and spice was spot on, making it a very comforting and satisfying dish.
We also tried the Mee Goreng. The noodles were nicely cooked and full of flavour, though they were a little wetter and saucier than I personally expected. I was anticipating a slightly drier style. It was also on the sweeter side, but that was clearly mentioned on the menu, so it wasn’t a surprise.
Overall, a very enjoyable meal with standout curry.
Both had the duck curry – one red one green.
Delicious flavours, exactly what you’d want from a Thai curry.
Could have maybe been a bit spicier – but I’m always careful before asking for Thai hot
Definitely worth getting here – we both loved it.
The interior is comfortable without being lavish or overly decorated. The tables have glass tops and the furniture was more functional than designer. We felt welcomed upon entering, greeted by a very pleasant gentleman.
Amongst us we ordered two mixed entrees, and for mains a green chicken curry, thai fried fish and a special of mixed seafood curry stir-fry. Very much satisfied with our meal choices, the mixed entrees provided everything we could want as a sampler, from piquant fish cakes, crispy curry-puffs and spring rolls, to delicate satay and fried chicken wings.
With the mains, the green curry was spiced to my companion’s liking, although his request for extra cashews on / in the curry did result in a whole bowl of them being brought to the table with the meal at extra charge rather than the sprinkling on top he was expecting. The fried fish had a pleasant sweet piquant sauce and wasn’t overcooked, while the mixed seafood stir fry was a delicious medley of texture and variety in the shellfish provided, though detectably from frozen rather than fresh. The curry sauce however was really packed with flavor and I devoured the lot happily.
Our server seemed a little nervous and inexperienced and had to come back to check the order as his memory had failed him, but he made up for this in friendliness and it certainly didn’t detract from a pleasant dinner experience.
